Throwback Thursday!

PWH had the honour of spending time with the hard working staff of the CWMH Emergency Department on the 17.02.2022. We facilitated a brief talanoa that discussed stress, mental health and their wellbeing. Tools on how they could manage their stress and practice self-care were provided to the hard working staff.

Many people think asking R U OK? might be a conversation that should be had with a mental health professional.
The truth is that we can all help those we care about by reaching out for a chat. If you want to support someone but aren’t sure where to start, follow these four steps:
1. ASK R U OK? – Pick the right time and place and ask them how they're going.
2. LISTEN – Listen with an open mind and without judgement.
3. ENCOURAGE ACTION - Encourage them to do something that might lighten the load.
4. CHECK IN – Remember to check in again soon. Your ongoing care and support can make a difference.

Today is World Su***de Prevention Day. The theme of WSPD 2022, is “Creating hope through action”. We all have a role to play by creating hope through our actions. Get involved!
