A proud moment indeed!

Our incredible children from Hilton Special School took part in the World Day Against Child Labour celebration on 12th June, organised by the Ministry of Labour.

And they came back with TROPHIES!

World Assistive Technology Day

Today, we join the global movement to celebrate the life-changing impact of Assistive Technology (AT) and raise awareness about the millions of people who still lack access to the tools they need to participate fully in everyday life.

At the Frank Hilton Organization, Assistive Technology plays a vital role in supporting children and families across our services:

Audiology Department – providing hearing aids that help children connect, communicate, and engage with the world around them.

Physiotherapy Department – supporting mobility and independence through wheelchairs and other mobility devices.

Speech Therapy Department – utilizing Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) tools, including communication boards, speech-generating devices, specialized tablets, and eye-gaze technology, to help children express themselves, participate in daily activities, and build meaningful connections.

While these technologies can transform lives, many people around the world still face barriers to accessing them. On this World Assistive Technology Day, we celebrate the power of innovation, inclusion, and opportunity, while advocating for a future where everyone has access to the support they need to learn, communicate, move, and thrive.

Whether it's hearing a parent's voice, taking independent steps, or communicating "I love you" for the first time, assistive technology opens doors to greater participation, confidence, and belonging.

Together, let's help bridge the digital and physical divide and ensure that no one is left behind.

Feeding a child with feeding and swallowing difficulties in public can be hard.
Behind every outing may be anxiety about choking, managing textures, messy mealtimes, long feeding times, or feeling judged by others.

What may look like a simple meal to others can take enormous patience, planning, and emotional strength for families.
