10 years ago today, my friend took me to his tattoo studio in Baños, Ecuador, showed me how to set up his tattoo machine step by step, and then dismantled it again and said, "your turn"...
I had no idea what I was doing, and had to come up with a design on the spot as well, and then went on to touch needle to skin for the first time ever! On my own right leg... And what a wobbly experience it was 😂😂
It's interesting for me to see the journey I've taken since this very first time, and to be able to put it into a time frame. Tattooing isn't my main job, and so I tattoo much less often than a proper professional, and yet this is clear proof that practice really does make perfect! Even if I didn't tattoo for the next 10 years, my lines will never be as bad as this again 😂
No way I can go the next 10 years without tattooing though 😜💉
