🇺🇸 An American launch for the Cape Cod 767
Today in the H, we went all out for the mast stepping on the other side of the Atlantic, taking advantage of a hoist and a travel lift. A nice exception to our rule, since we usually handle this operation with just 2 or 3 people, using only elbow grease and no crane at all!
Behind the relaxed, vacation-like vibe once the boat is on the water lies the true Rosewest signature: meticulous preparation.
All the groundwork—anticipating every detail, pre-stepping the mast, and fine-tuning the rig—was done ahead of time back home in France.
The result? A perfectly smooth launch in the Hamptons and a sail dayboat ready to cruise without a hitch. That’s the art of preparation!
🇺🇸 Mise à l’eau américaine pour le Cape Cod 767 « Canary » !
Aujourd’hui dans les Hamptons, mâtage grand luxe de l’autre côté de l’Atlantique : nous avons profité d’une potence et d’un travel lift. Une belle exception à la règle, puisque nous réalisons habituellement cette manœuvre à 2 ou 3 personnes, à la force des bras et sans aucune grue !
Derrière cette allure décontractée et ce petit air de vacances une fois sur l’eau, se cache en réalité la signature du chantier Rosewest : une préparation millimétrée.
Tout le travail d’anticipation, le pré-mâtage et les pré-réglages pointus ont été réalisés en amont, chez nous en France.
Le résultat ? Une mise à l’eau d’une fluidité parfaite à Shelter Island et un voilier dayboat prêt à naviguer sans aucun accroc. C’est ça, l’art de la préparation ! ✨
