So a side to my work that I don't shout about as much as I should do is rehab. Working weekly or fortnightly with people who need dedicated attention to their physical issue.
This is often a hip, knee or spinal issue that's affecting their mobility and or daily life. Someone may be just managing the pain instead of dealing with the issue in hand, they may have done the rounds with Drs and physios who often only focus on one particular area and don't look at the body as a whole, or what a person does in their daily life to make something worse or to compensate in some other way adding a secondary issue to their plate.
We all shy away from 'work' and want a fix handing to us - that's human nature but when a person spends some time and effort investing in their physical health - the rewards are there to be taken....improved movement and flexibility, reduced pain, reduction or removal of pain meds, better sleep and focus and new lease of life - who knew!!
Don't just take my word, here's a few words from a current client 'R'.....
Thanks 'R' - it's a honour working with you Lx
