The Restful Body

The Restful Body I help women 40+ reduce recurring pain by changing unhealthy posture patterns. Your posture tells your body's story - let's listen to that story and rewrite it.

Most people don’t think about how they walk.

But the body responds to it all day long.

When we collapse downward, the body tends to compress and feel heavier over time.

But when we think upward—from the heels through the spine and head—the whole body organizes differently.

Lighter. Longer. More supported.

Can you feel the difference between the two walks?

UP or DOWN?

Your body adapts to how it’s being used.
Most pain patterns aren’t random—
they’re built over time through repetition.

When you begin to see 😯 the pattern,
you can begin to change it.

For a long time, I thought my SI joint pain was just “a bad area.”

But the pain wasn’t random.

It was connected to patterns I repeated every day without realizing it.

How I sat.
What I did with my legs.
How my lower back compressed and carried load.

My body had adapted to those patterns over time.

Once I began changing the mechanics driving the strain, things started to shift.

This is why I speak so much about patterns.

Pain often makes more sense when you begin to see what your body has been compensating for.

You shouldn’t have to push.
If you do, it’s usually not a “you” problem.

It’s a mechanics problem.

Most people are sitting in a way that quietly blocks what the body is trying to do:
♡ too upright → the system holds
♡ too collapsed → pressure builds
♡ too controlled → nothing moves

Then we try to fix it by pushing harder.
But the body doesn’t need more force.

It needs a better position—and permission to release.

A small shift: lean forward just until it feels easier—not harder.
That’s when things start to move without force.

This is one pattern of many.
