Sweet day out.

Yesterday was a hard day for our tribe, we had to say good bye to a great friend. Someone that believed in me even when I didn’t believe in myself. Made me feel anything was possible. “Don’t just talk about it, do it!”
Yesterday we raised a glass and today we hit the slopes in true Ashley style.

F R E S H P E A K S 🤟🏼
After two months away I was worried there would be no snow left but there is just enough. It is so nice to be back on the slopes meeting up with friends and having a laugh. Been here a year and a half and this is the first time I have been to Les Contamines but will defo be where I bring family and friends when they come over. *that is a small cup not my massive hands*

TOP 5 HIGHLIGHTS SO FAR:
- Watching Emperor penguins feeding.
- Watching the Minke whales swim up to the pool we have made for the UAV to go down in.
- Making some awesome friends!
- Spending time on the sea ice.
- Gaining new knowledge from the team on-board whether that be history, the intricacies of searching for a wreck, to ice science and climate change 🙌🏻.

🌎The Hunt for Shackleton’s Lost Ice Ship 🚢
We are in a ships routine now, helping with the search teams on the back deck, in between supporting the scientists on the ice. They’re currently testing ice cores and looking at climate changes.
