The fundraiser for my community-funded Lactobacillus Reuteri yogurt lab analysis is now live!

This project will fund professional microbiological testing through Eurofins, including:

- Bacterial identification
- L. reuteri CFU quantification
- Total probiotic CFU counts
The goal is €1,750, and the fundraiser will remain open until the goal is reached.
------------------

Donors
- Early access to results
- Full downloadable PDF report (CFU data, methods, interpretation)
- Raw lab screenshots and documentation
- Ongoing behind-the-scenes updates as the project unfolds
- Priority access before public release
***Note: Donations that go past the goal will still get the above benefits and the extra money will roll over to Matt's next research project!

Non-Donors
- Will wait for the final YouTube video(s) in order to see the results.
- High-level conclusions and educational discussion will be outlined during the video
(Specific study details and other benefits are reserved for those who contribute.)

Thank you to everyone who voted, shared feedback, and helped shape this project.

L. REUTERI LAB TESTING IS READY.

I need your input before launching the lab test fundraiser 👇

I’m preparing to have my homemade L. reuteri yogurt professionally tested by Eurofins.

Here are the testing options:

Option A
Confirmation of bacterial identity using NGS-PCR
This confirms whether L. reuteri is present and identifies the dominant bacteria in the yogurt.

Option B
Specific L. reuteri CFU count (colony-forming units per gram)
This tells us how many viable L. reuteri bacteria are actually present.

Option C
Total probiotic CFU count
This measures all probiotic bacteria combined, not just L. reuteri.

From a scientific standpoint, Options A + B already answer the main questions most people ask.
Option C adds extra context but increases the project cost by about $200.

I want this project to be community-driven, so please vote below 👇🏼

I’ll use the results of this poll to finalize the lab order and fundraiser goal.

Thanks for helping guide this project from the start.
