Let’s talk about transfers from Gare Du Nord!

I use Eurostar a lot and always into Gare Du Nord. I often use the RER because it is cheaper and that’s money for merch but sometimes lifts are down, or I have people with me who would struggle with the RER so sometimes we book a transfer.

I have also used Ubers before but I need a van to fit my wheelchair and attachment and then Uber can often be more expensive than a booked transfer plus you have to try and get to somewhere outside the station to try and find your driver.

With a transfer they are waiting for you getting off the train, are an extra pair of hands for luggage and you can pre-warn them about the wheelchair and other aids!

I have now used Paris Disney Transfer a few times and each time has been great. Friendly drivers who have been patient and helpful with the loading and unloading and the vans are lovely and comfy, it makes the whole thing less stressful! This is not an ad, just a personal recommendation and I’m sure there maybe others who are good too, we just stick to what we like!

Remember when I posted about the issues with Castle Club for those requiring an accessible room and step free access? Well alas I am not here to report an improvement but instead they have further reduces the number of options available to wheelchair users for castle club. The suites that are located in the wings of the hotel are going to be changed to deluxe rather than castle club, so the one accessible suite will no longer be castle club, leaving only 2 accessible castle club rooms, only one suitable for 4 people and no accessible suites or park view rooms.

We enjoyed the pop up surprises! A fun meet with conductor Goofy then some dance time with the daft munks!

Today will be mostly spent going through the prof copy of the book, and deciding if I should start another book!

I am also aware this has taken a lot of time and I do need to catch up with website updates and accessibility posts, so not got much to do before my trip next weekend! I may also need to maybe pack!

We are now over 5 weeks since this work was initially supposed to have been completed by, and so far it’s impacted 3 trips for me, costing me extra time and expense in Ubers or long walks to and from Val d’europe. What do we think the chances are it will be fixed before my next trip in a week and a half!?
