Aparigraha is the freedom that arrives
when the hands of the soul learn to open.
So much of our suffering comes
from holding too tightly
to possessions,
to identities,
to memories,
to the stories we tell about who we are.
Yet life was never asking us to possess it.
It was asking us to participate in it,
to let each moment arrive and depart
like a wave returning to the sea.
Aparigraha is the trust
that nothing real can be lost,
and nothing essential needs to be grasped.
When we release our grip on the world,
we discover that we belong to it more deeply.
And when we stop trying to own our experience,
the heart becomes spacious enough
to receive the sacred as it unfolds.
