Part of the reason why I love following the moons energies is that not only is she a gorgeous big thing shining up there to point and exclaim at and I do get great joy from looking at her, but also, that it gives me some reason and solidarity to why I sometimes feel like a crazy person.
Feeling like doom but then getting to say ‘oh well, it’s the moon’, isn’t diminishing my responsibility for my emotional regulation, but in those times when it does feel IMPOSSIBLE to regulate I feel less like a loser.
I don’t run everything in my life by the moon or my astrology, bc who has time for that with everything else? But I do try to stick to the basics- finish with the full, start afresh with the new, and allow time for things to change and develop. I allow myself to have moments of irrationality- because I am a real human and mum and perimenopausal- just as much as I allow myself to sit into the incredible joys without feeling guilty for slowing down.
Practicing a moon ritual, or sitting in a circle is really just a moment for yourself. To connect with your body and breath, to hear yourself- without the surrounding noise of everyday life and to see more clearly what you want or need more or less of in your life. And to feel less alone within the tornado of feelings that we experience.
The space I create in the treatment room- if you’ve felt it then great- we aim for the same in these circles. They have been a love project since the beginning- since I first asked Nicole to help me be brave 7 years ago and since I lit those first candles on the deck at the lake.
So if you’d like to move gently, lie still, feel the flow of pure magic move through you and perhaps breathe the deepest you have all week, then join us for a Full or New Moon session this Summer.
