I can’t believe I’m alive to see this.

After brain cancer, moments like this don’t feel ordinary anymore. They feel like proof. Like a bonus day. Like one more reason to notice the life I still get to live.

A couple weeks ago… I thought it might be back.

After years of scans, I had a longer gap between MRIs.

Then the symptoms started stacking up — headaches, night sweats, high blood pressure, dizziness… I even blacked out at Pilates.

The strange part? I’ve been healthier than ever. Eating better. Exercising. Lost 45 pounds.

I wasn’t in full panic… but I was scared.

And when it kept building — with a big trip coming up — I finally went to the ER.

Today I turned 67.

There was a time I didn’t think I would make it here.

In 2020, I was diagnosed with brain cancer. Chemotherapy failed, and I thought I had maybe a month.

I went to Boston for an experimental treatment.

There were 18 of us.
Seven are gone.
Nine have no progression. I’m one of those nine.

It’s a strange, powerful feeling to be alive.

The fear of it coming back doesn’t just disappear.
Not all the time… but it’s always there.
