We talk a lot about nervous system regulation and rest… but longevity also needs movement that will actually carry us through our years 🚶‍♂️👨‍🌾

At 25 it’s easy to just chase performance or “to look good” ☀️ I already train strength and endurance… but wnant to move well as I age, 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s even 80s!! So I’m shifting more focus early onto natural movement and longevity 👣

Today I had a beautiful private sound bath with my friend Rachel Ann facilitated by Dylan Bowditch.

It reminded me to slow down.

So here is your reminder.
Soften.
Just a little.

Let your shoulders melt away from your ears.
Let your jaw loosen.
Let your breath drop lower into your belly.

Your nervous system LOVES these tiny pauses.
They’re like little “I’ve got you” messages to your whole body — no drama, no big routine, just a moment of listening.

Your spine doesn’t ask for perfection.
It asks for presence.

Day 101 of The Daily Return 🌀✌🏼💚

After 100 days of returning to movement, I’m adding the next layer to my daily non negotiable practice…

Meditation 🧘🏼‍♂️

I first found ‘The Mind Illuminated’ about 5 years ago, a year after my “spiritual awakening” 🪷

Back then I treated it like a normal book… rushing through pages instead of using it as a practice guide and only making it to about Stage 3 🤔😬

This time I’m coming to it differently…

Slower, with more patience and discipline 🌳

More willing to practise than to rush ahead like last time… 💨

What I love about this book is how it explains the ancient meditation practice through modern brain science… the same sort of way I see sound baths as both ritual and nervous system work 🌀🧠

I’ll be living with this as a long term guide over the next 5 years… not something to finish, but something to grow alongside as I move towards 30 😳

I’ll be moving through the different stages and sharing little check‑ins alongside my daily yoga clips… sorry, not sorry guys! 😂

Posting the practice has honestly really helped me stay accountable with this daily movement… soooo I’m treating this the exact same way!! Quietly showing up, one sit at a time 🧘🏼‍♂️

Year 1 is about foundations: sit daily, learn the breath, notice the wandering mind and begin again 🙌🏼
