For , how are you taking action to support yourself, someone else, or all those around you? Actions, great or small, have the power to make a transformative impact on the mental health and wellbeing in our daily lives.

The IntrospeXion team does this by working with companies and individuals in some of the most demanding and high-pressure industries. By connecting with people and providing a safe space in their own environments, we help to break down barriers and generate wellbeing breakthrough’s.

While Mental Health Awareness Week plays a critical role in expanding the dialogue, distributing resources, tackling stigma, and helping people take action, progress cannot be limited to one week a year. How we look after ourselves, those closest to us, and the people we meet and interact with every day is something we must consider 365 days a year.

Over the course of this week, we will be sharing information and resources to support you.

As we look to grow our reputation and presence across the Middle East, it’s critical that we have the resources and expertise to support regional clients. Strengthening our ability to do this is the addition of Mharc Alonzo as Operations Executive for the UAE.

Born in the UAE, Mharc will be based in Dubai in his new role and will work closely with the team to execute our in-country growth strategy. Not only does Mharc possess exceptional regional knowledge, but his previous career as an Emirates Airlines pilot shows he has practical insight working in high-risk, high-pressure environments and understands the importance of human factors, mental health, and effective incident response.

It’s great to have Mharc as part of the team, where he will support our UAE clients with operational challenges, helping organisations build safer, healthier, and more resilient workplaces.

Let’s talk about burnout.

One of the biggest impacts of prolonged and chronic stress, burnout doesn’t happen after working too hard for a week; burnout happens when stress becomes your baseline. Every year, burnout costs the UK economy billions through sick days, low productivity, and people checking out.

With Stress Awareness Month coming to a close, have you or your company made a positive change to mitigate workplace stress? Tackling the debilitating impact of stress in the workplace and in our day-to-day lives isn’t limited to just one month. We need to take action around the clock, 365 days a year.

In the UK, statistics on the severity and impact of work-related stress have caused immense concern within organisations, trade bodies, and national regulators.

Employers are facing the reality of years of built-up stress: record-setting days lost to stress-related sickness, burnout affecting working cultures, and lost time, all impacting the business's bottom line while causing untold harm in the day-to-day lives of our colleagues, friends, and family.

It doesn’t have to be like this. Stress within the workplace can be managed, and critically, mitigated.

Through our audits, risk assessments, and educational workshops, we help organisations identify the psychological and environmental stress factors that impact safety, performance, and morale. With our support, you can access a clear plan to address these factors before they escalate and derail operations: [email protected]

Our recent ADHD pop-up clinic in Jarrow helped provide several individuals with something invaluable: clarity and a renewed sense of self.

Led by our neurodivergent specialists, our recent clinic helped guide attendees through the screening and diagnosis process to tackle personal uncertainty and provide a crucial support pathway to bypass year-long waiting lists. In the UK, around 3–4% of adults are thought to have ADHD, yet many go undiagnosed for years, so we are proud to support all those who come forward.

It’s never too late to understand your brain. Our next pop-up ADHD diagnosis clinic arrives in Aberdeen on April 18th, suitable for all those aged 16+. To secure your diagnosis spot or find out more, reach out to our specialist team at: [email protected]

April is Stress Awareness Month; the ideal time to clear up and fight back against common misconceptions...

In too many workplaces, stress is seen as a badge of honour. A sign that things are good and busy. A sign that you are doing something right and thriving. But that isn’t the case at all - stress occurs when the pressure of our surroundings outweighs our capacity to cope. Simply put, stress is overload.

Normalising stress is normalising running on empty, glorifying burnout, and packaging it up as ‘drive’. Stress isn’t about ambition; stress is a threat. If you’re constantly stressed, this isn’t a mindset issue; it’s a pressure problem.

Discover how you can reduce the pressure and get in touch to learn about our on-site IntrospeXion workshops > [email protected]

What is the connection between global musical superstardom and life on an oil rig?

Ahead of the IntrospeXion Gala two weeks ago, Shabnum sat down with The Press and Journal and the evening’s special musical guest, Emeli Sandé. During the conversation, Shabnum and Emeli discussed the unlikely similarities between the demands of the entertainment and energy industries.

High stress environments. Feeling isolated. And being far away from support networks. These are all feelings and scenarios all too familiar to many industries, whether on a tour bus or an offshore vessel, and a sentiment that resonated with Emeli as she found out more about the work IntrospeXion does.
