⚠️ Know the Signs: Meningitis & Septicaemia
Meningitis and septicaemia are serious, life-threatening conditions that can develop quickly, and early symptoms can often be mistaken for common illnesses like flu.
Being aware of the signs and acting quickly can save lives.
Early symptoms may include:
• Fever, headaches, vomiting
• Muscle aches and cold hands/feet
• Fatigue or drowsiness
As the illness progresses, symptoms can become more severe, including:
• Stiff neck and sensitivity to light
• Confusion or difficulty staying awake
• Rapid breathing
• A rash that does not fade under pressure (glass test)
⏱️ These conditions can worsen within hours, so it’s vital to seek medical help urgently if symptoms escalate.
At OccuHealth Consultancy, we’re committed to raising awareness of serious health conditions and supporting workplace wellbeing through education and early intervention.
If in doubt, get checked out. Early treatment can be life-saving.
