24/3 is the World Tuberculosis Day🫁

TB is caused by bacterial infections and is the top 10 cause of death.

🚩 Symptoms🚩
1. Chronic cough (>3weeks), with phlegm or blood - HUGE RED FLAG🚨‼️
2. Feeling tired
3. High fever
4. Unexplained weight loss
5. Persistent night sweats

What to do?😷🤒
Please see a pharmacist if you have any concerns, or book a GP appointment if you are coughing up blood and mucus.

Prevention👀
If you have close contact with a TB patient, please maintain good hand hygiene and keep the room well-ventilated: TB is spreadale!!! Please make sure you and other family members have received the BCG vaccine 💉

Meningitis is on the rise in the U.K.

Please look out for the following symptoms-

High temperature
Vomitting
Cold hands and feet
Confusion
Breathing quickly
Stiff neck
Dislike of bright lights
Rash - that does not fade when a glass is pressed against it

Here are some facts about the most common eating disorders:

Anorexia nervosa - severely restricting your food intake to control your weight.

Bulimia nervosa - losing control of your food intake (binge eating) and then getting rid of it (purging)

Binge eating disorder - eating large amounts of food intake a short period of time until you feel full.
