This afternoon’s spotlight goes to Vili and Anne🧡
If you’ve popped into the centre on a Friday morning you’ll know this dynamic duo well, they keep our centre moving on one of our busiest times of the week. Here’s what they both had to say about volunteering at Maggie’s.
Anne-
“I retired from the NHS in 2022 and felt I still wanted to do something worthwhile. Maggie’s is a special place where you meet lots of special people and if I can make a small difference to their day then I feel I have contributed to the Maggie’s team.”
Vili –
“I started volunteering at Maggie’s because of my mother’s history with cancer and saw how Maggie’s supported her. I want work that feels real and like I’m making a difference for people. Spending time with centre visitors helps me to take a different perspective, reset my mindset and mature. Maggie’s to me is a place I can get experience and learn. It’s nice to be part of a good community with lovely people.”

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts Vili and Anne you both bring so much to Maggie’s🧡
