🏡 We're delighted to share that GSR Training has been featured in The Press & Journal!

Our new immersive training space, "Nana's Hoose", has been created to help learners experience a realistic home environment and gain a deeper understanding of how dementia can affect an individual's perception, memory and daily life.

By recreating a traditional 1970s living room, we're providing a unique, hands-on learning experience that supports empathy, understanding and person-centred care.

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported this project and to The Press & Journal for highlighting the importance of innovative dementia education.

Kelsey’s Journey: A Career Dedicated to Care 🏥

Before becoming a Training Officer, Kelsey dedicated her teenage years and early twenties to studying and practising as a midwife, a journey that profoundly shaped both her career and the person she is today.

Her midwifery training took her across the north of Scotland, where she had the privilege of learning from an extraordinary group of mentors. These experiences, along with the families she supported along the way, left a lasting impact on her and her practice.

Kelsey worked as a midwife for three years, gaining invaluable clinical experience and sharing some of the most significant moments in people’s lives. While she deeply valued her time in clinical practice, she discovered that her greatest passion lay in education. Supporting others to develop confidence, skills, and compassion within their own roles was something she had always aspired to do.

This realisation led her to transition into training, where she found the perfect opportunity to combine her love of midwifery with her enthusiasm for teaching. Her clinical background continues to influence the way she designs and delivers training, ensuring that every course is grounded in real world experience and practical understanding.

Kelsey's midwifery journey, and the lifelong friendships formed along the way, will always hold a special place in her heart. She remains deeply grateful for the opportunity to have been part of such meaningful moments in the lives of so many families.

We are so proud of her journey and we are so glad to have her at team GSR. 🩺
