Today Granite Elite Ltd had the privilege of providing full medical team coverage for the game between the Roughnecks and Newcastle Vikings.

What a fantastic day of American Football, sportsmanship and teamwork from everyone involved. The professionalism shown by both teams, officials and supporters was outstanding throughout a busy event.

A huge amount of credit has to go to the Aberdeen Roughnecks organisation for the way they approach player welfare, medical planning and event safety. American Football is a demanding contact sport and the club continues to raise standards both on and off the field to ensure players and supporters are looked after properly on game day.

From first aid response capability to clinical risk management and operational support, the Granite Elite team were proud to support such a well-run event and work alongside a club doing great things for the sport in Scotland.

The support for American Football across the UK continues to grow year on year, and seeing the atmosphere and passion around the Roughnecks today showed exactly why.

A massive thank you to everyone at the Roughnecks for having us involved, and also to the Newcastle Vikings for a brilliant display of respect and sportsmanship throughout the game.
