Aurora is proud to host Autistic Pride Aberdeen along with a committee of Autistic volunteers. We are very much looking forward to our in person event on the 14th June, but we know that not everyone can make in person events. To ensure we are as accessible as possible, we also host an online event too!
It’s just 2 weeks till our infodump session where Autistic participants can infodump on a topic of their choosing! Infodumping is a beautiful aspect of Autistic culture and something we often love to do! Autistics and allies welcome.
Topics at previous SpInfodump sessions have been widely diverse, ranging from animals, geeky fandom, writing, art, plushies, collections, and much more. We love hearing about what you’re passionate about.
Participants are welcome to share presentations, show off their collections, talk off the cuff, or connect with people in the chat. If you’d like to share an infodump but don’t want to speak out loud, no problem! Just let send us through what you’d like us to share on your behalf and we are happy to do so. To keep people protected, we will not be allowing screen sharing for people not personally known to the committee, and if anyone would like to share a presentation, please email it to us at [email protected] in advance.
This year we have decided to limit infodumps to 7 minutes to ensure there is time for as many folks as possible and questions.
As with our in person event, this is an LGBTQ+ inclusive and family friendly event. We welcome Autistic children sharing their interests too.
