Yoga with Simone Ashtanga Yoga Classes. Vigorous and athletic Yoga; a dynamic and flowing sequence of movements. Yoga is about learning to focus your energy.

Sports training can leave you strong in some areas, but inflexible and weak in others. Runners tend to have tight hamstrings, cyclists tight quadriceps, those swimming a lot complain from tired and aching shoulders, golfers and tennis plays may have more freedom of rotation in one direction but not the other. And generally those who are doing a mixed fitness regime can have aches and pains where p

ressure is put on the body through impactful exercise. It’s about learning to block out everything and focus on one thing, this will help prepare you to focus on your training practice, getting the most from your physical exercise. It will help you focus, perform better and connect you to your body and breath. A mix of Asana (Physical movements) and good Pranayama (Yoga breathing exercises) can help prevent injury, as breath control has athletic healing benefits. The Ashtanga yoga poses will focus on strengthening and lengthening your leg muscles and help to improve your flexibility, preparing your body for your other fitness regime.

✨Community Preschool Yoga with Laura is back! ✨

This Friday 8th May at 1:15-2pm - now open for booking on DWC Gymcatch 💚

Join Laura for a special afternoon of yoga fun for both children and their grown ups. In an effort to make yoga more accessible, this is a free/donation based class. This will include songs, movement, breathing exercises and meditation. These activities will help the little ones express their feelings and learn to connect with their bodies. It is a wonderful opportunity for families to bond and engage together. Everyone is welcome to this community class making it a great way to meet others and enjoy a healthy, mindful activity. Recommended for age 3 to 5 year olds 💜

Happy New Year ✨to my Yogis near and far.

As we step into a new year, I invite you to pause… breathe… and set an intention, not a goal.

Goals often focus on an outcome: achieve this, fix that, get there by a certain date. And while goals can be motivating, they can also create pressure, judgment, and that feeling of “failure” when life inevitably shifts.

Intentions are different.

An intention is about how you want to show up, not what you must accomplish.

🌱 Goals say: I must practice yoga 5 times a week.
🌱 Intentions say: I choose to move my body with kindness and consistency.

Intentions:
Are flexible and adapt with life
Invite curiosity instead of perfection
Keep you connected to your values, even on hard days
Can be practiced again and again, every single day

In yoga, we don’t force a pose — we meet ourselves where we are. The same is true for the year ahead.

As you move into this new chapter, ask yourself:
✨ How do I want to feel?
✨ What energy do I want to bring into my days?

Carry that intention onto your mat… and off it.

Wishing you a year of presence, growth, and gentle transformation 💛
