Jay specialises in custom tattoo designs - meaning whatever idea you have in mind, we can be sure to create the unique & original design especially for you. Jay enjoys tattooing mandala-styles that consist of complex patterns. He also enjoys black & grey work, vibrant colour work & his favourite style to create is Neo-traditional

We are based in the busy little village of Abergele in North Wales. There is plenty of free street parking, a free car park & a frequent bus route near the studio.

We opened our new studio back in October 2019 and became fully approved by our local Conwy County Authority at the highest standard, obeying all by-laws issued to us & meeting all requirements expected of us. Prior to this, Jay has been working in busy Tattoo Studios since early 2012 in North Wales.

We pride ourselves in our 160+ 5* rating reviews on Google, Facebook & Fresha booking system. Apart from our high rating reviews & clinical-level hygienic studio, Jay also upholds a fantastic reputation as a Tattoo Artist in the North Wales area. Jay built up his reputation and strong clientele over the past 11 years through trust, patience & passion.​​

Jay is fully insured, experienced, professional & qualified in his profession. We are also trained in Skin Cancer Awareness and Statutory & Mandatory Trained in Infection Prevention & Control at Clinical Level. We also trained in “Prevention of COVID-19 at the Workplace”, to reduce any potential risk within our studio during the global pandemic.​

As a couple outside of our studio, we enjoy exploring National Trust parklands, nature reserves & discovering new places. We enjoy gaming, watching movies, learning about history & spending time with our family and friends. We can guarantee you will enjoy your visit.

We are a married couple who work together as a team here at, Good As Gold, Tattoo & Spa in the busy village of Old Colwyn, North Wales.

Jay is the Tattoo Artist & Professional Piercer, who has over 9 years experience within the Tattoo & Piercing Industry. Gem is the Spa, Massage & Beauty Therapist, who began her Beauty Career 10 years ago. We are both extremely passionate in both our professions, & so we came together to offer these services under one roof.
