⭐🧡 For many unpaid carers, life can be busy and isolating — and a regular friendly phone call can offer something really simple but powerful: a chance to talk, feel heard, and stay connected.

Our volunteering is flexible and easy to fit around everyday life. Our main opportunity is our telephone befriending service for unpaid carers. Whether you’re working, studying, retired or caring yourself, you can give as much or as little time as you can manage.

If you’re 18+ and want to make a genuine difference in a way that really matters to someone’s day, we’d love to hear from you.

🧡🫶 This , we want to say a heartfelt thank you to all of our volunteers.

Your time, care and commitment make a real difference every day — whether that’s offering a friendly voice on the phone, sharing your experience, or helping to shape and support the work we do behind the scenes. You help ensure unpaid carers feel heard, supported and valued. Thank you.

🧡👐 Caring for her daughter means Pauline’s days are shaped by routine, planning, and responding to complex needs — with little time for herself. When her daughter’s routine was disrupted, the impact was significant and made an already demanding caring role even harder.

For her, respite has been a vital source of support and space to rest and recharge.

Pauline shares how routine and respite support her caring role, and why she is speaking out about the financial pressures many unpaid carers face.
