WENDY'S STORY: Support Worker to Regional Manager 🎓

Wendy left school at 16, in her words, “with nothing”. Fast forward more than 30 years, and she never imagined she’d be graduating from university, made possible by National Care Group.

In just seven years, she has progressed from Support Worker to Regional Area Operations Manager, responsible for residential care and supported living services in Greater Manchester.

National Care Group’s commitment to providing ongoing training has empowered Wendy to build her knowledge and gain the relevant qualifications, allowing her to progress in a sector she’s proud to be part of 🫶💜

Yesterday, the Lord Mayor of Stoke-on-Trent, Councillor Joan Bell, and her husband, Consort Dennis Bell, took time out of their busy schedule to meet the people we support and colleagues at Links Day Service and Regent Road 💜

Before leaving Links Day Service, the Lord Mayor was presented with a fantastic hand-drawn canvas of Stoke's coat of arms. The moment was captured perfectly on camera! 📸🥰
