# # # 🔬 About the Role
As a Clinical Research Nurse, you will work closely with the Principal Investigator, Sub-Investigators, Clinical Research Physicians and wider research team to support the delivery of clinical trials in accordance with **approved protocols, ICH-GCP, regulatory requirements and Ascend Clinical Research SOPs**.
Your responsibilities may include:
• Supporting the delivery of clinical trials from participant screening through follow-up
• Conducting protocol-specific clinical and nursing procedures
• Supporting participant screening, recruitment and informed consent processes
• Monitoring participant safety and escalating concerns appropriately
• Recording and maintaining accurate clinical and research documentation
• Supporting the collection and review of clinical data
• Administering study medications and treatments in accordance with the protocol and delegation
• Performing observations, vital signs, ECGs, blood sampling and other protocol-specific procedures as required
• Supporting the identification, documentation and reporting of adverse events
• Maintaining participant confidentiality and complying with GDPR requirements
• Working collaboratively with Investigators, Study Coordinators, Sponsors and CRO teams
• Supporting monitoring visits, audits and study-related activities
• Ensuring clinical research activities are conducted to a high standard of quality and participant safety
# # # 👩⚕️ What We're Looking For
**Essential:**
✔️ Registered Nurse with current professional registration
✔️ Relevant post-registration clinical experience
✔️ Experience or strong interest in clinical research
✔️ Understanding of **Good Clinical Practice (GCP)** and clinical research governance
✔️ Excellent clinical assessment and communication skills
✔️ Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation
✔️ Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
✔️ Compassionate and patient-centred approach
✔️ Excellent organisation and time-management skills
✔️ Commitment to participant safety and research quality
**Desirable:**
⭐ Previous experience working within a clinical research environment
⭐ Current GCP training
⭐ Experience with clinical trial procedures and research documentation
⭐ Experience working with multidisciplinary research teams
