Sunrise bath surrounded by trees, dappling light, corn field bathed In golden- ness … the simplicity is what brings the magic, the peace, the tranquility and the excitement for what is to come.

Nature wellness … it’s not new, it’s not complicated.

Step outside, walk outside, and for me swim outside all are sources of nature wellness.
Our human bodies have a natural instinctive response to nature; it’s biological and physiological…. It’s more just a whim or myth.

The trees, sounds, moving water, changing clouds scenes, open skies all instantly activate our parasympathetic nervous system that in turn means cortisol levels lower, heart rate lowers, rest and recovery mode are switched on, digestive systems settle.

A glorious Sunday morning at for a swim, coffee, breakfast sandwich and chatter. My heart and soul and body are nourished 🙏🏼.

You don’t need to immerse yourself in cool outdoor water - simply take a step outside, look up at the sky ( even if you are surrounded by buildings) and you’ll be giving yourself some nature wellness 🦋

Nature is my greatest power source … “plug me” into water, trees, sky, mountains, sunsets and sunrises, rocks, waves, flowers, herbs … and my energy flows endlessly.

And nature also brings me peace, rest and tranquility.

I’m often asked “ where DO you get all your amazing energy from?”.
Here’s the answer = nature.

This time last week I was standing on the start line of my first half marathon with my sister. I couldn’t have done that without her by my side.

Yesterday I stood at the start of Kelso parkrun with two of my dearest lifelong friends for the first time.
We’ve never run together, this was about yet another bond in our friendship, chatting, marvelling at the incredible scenery …. Running side by side supporting and encouraging so that one friend could ring that bell for “first 5k without walking”… and she did!

Followed by the most delicious and celebratory brunch at Cafe U.

Thank-full for years of friendship with unquestionable support and care; celebrating “wins”; and doing things that make us feel alive and loving life together always. 🦋

A glorious morning walk across the fields, through the grasses, by the streams, to my gratitude pond…. And. a little post- half marathon mobility, releasing, stretching moment surrounded by all this beautiful nature I’m lucky to be able to call home.
