Kusala Nutrition and Lifestyle

Kusala Nutrition and Lifestyle Hi, I’m Tara! My own personal journey with nutrition began with a diagnosis of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome some 10 years ago now.

I learnt first-hand the impact of my diet and lifestyle choices on my health and energy levels and since that time I have embarked upon a path to redirect my career into the field of Nutrition and Lifestyle practice in order to help others. I have a Level 4 Diploma in Nutrition and Lifestyle Coaching and I am currently completing a Level 6 Graduate Diploma in Integrative Functional Nutrition. Prio

r to that I have a BSc (Hons) in Biological Chemistry along with an MSc in Cancer Chemistry, and I spent my time working in the field of analytical chemistry. Presently I am working across Norfolk delivering group sessions for the National Diabetes Prevention Programme as well as coaching clients privately on a 1-to-1 basis in the areas of nutrition and lifestyle. My goal is to help you achieve your optimum level of health through positive nutrition and lifestyle choices. I will encourage and inspire you to make small but valuable changes to your daily routine, empowering you to take responsibility for your own health and wellbeing. By working together we can, and will, accomplish the outcome you desire, leaving you feeling energised and revitalised for many years to come. So, if you’re ready to make some wholesome changes, just drop me an email ([email protected]), and let’s get started! I look forward to hearing from you,

You didn’t hear from me for a few days… and that was intentional.

No batching.
No “I should probably post something.”
No forcing content just to stay visible.

Because here’s the truth no one really says out loud:

You can’t pour from an empty nervous system.

When your energy is low, your body is asking for support—not performance.

And pushing through it (even for something you love) usually costs more than it gives.

So I took my own advice.

Slowed down.
Stepped back.
Let things be quiet for a minute.

And nothing broke.
The world kept spinning.

And I came back with more clarity, more energy, and more to actually give.

If you needed a sign to stop running yourself into the ground just to keep up… this is it.

Save this for the days you feel guilty for resting 🤍

And send it to someone who needs permission to log off for a bit.

Sometimes all you wanna do is rock out at a gig with your bestie… and honestly, that’s not a distraction — it’s medicine 🎶✨

In a world that glorifies being busy, choosing joy can feel rebellious.

But the moments that “don’t look productive” are often the ones that refill you the most.

The loud music, the laughter, the losing track of time…

That’s your nervous system exhaling.

So if you needed a sign to take a night off, say yes to plans, or just do something that lights you up — this is it.

You don’t have to earn rest.
You don’t have to justify joy.
you just have to let yourself have it 🤍

You’re in such a hurry to get to the next thing…

You forget you’re already in it.

The sky doesn’t rush.
The clouds don’t rush.
Nothing real ever does.

And yet we act like life is something to catch up with.

Maybe today isn’t about doing more.

Maybe it’s about noticing what’s already here.

Look up.
Breathe.
Don’t miss your own life.

Friday Fitness Tip 🏡✨

Who said chores can’t be fun? Turn your household tasks into a mini workout 💪💃

✔️ Dance while you vacuum
✔️ Add a little squat while you pick up
✔️ Pump your favourite tunes and move

You’ll burn calories, lift your mood, and actually enjoy cleaning for once 😄

Save this for your next chore session & share with someone who needs a little extra motivation to move 💛

Sustainable eating has been made to feel… overwhelming.

Like you have to overhaul your entire life overnight.

You don’t.

This Earth Day, focus on what actually moves the needle:
🌱 Eating more local, seasonal food
🛒 Supporting small, local producers
🚫 Wasting less food
🥕 Choosing real, whole ingredients more often

Because this isn’t just about the planet…

It’s about your energy, your gut, your health too.

And the truth?
The closer your food is to nature (and home),
the better your body tends to respond.

No extremes. No perfection.
Just better choices, more often.

Start with one habit this week—that’s how change sticks 🌍

👉 Save this for your next food shop
👉 Which one are you starting with?

If most of your diet comes in a packet… it’s probably not doing you any favours 👀

You can hit your calories.
You can hit your protein.
You can still feel tired, hungry, and out of sync with your body.

Because this isn’t just about nutrients anymore — it’s about food design.

Ultra-processed foods are engineered to be:
• easy to overeat
• hard to stop
• incredibly convenient

And that combination? It adds up.

This isn’t about cutting everything out or eating “perfectly” — but let’s be honest, most people are way overdoing it without realising.

A grounded target:
👉 Keep UPFs to 25% of your intake max

Not 0%. Not extreme. Just intentional.

Try this instead:
• eat real food most of the time
• question long ingredient lists
• stop normalising living off snacks

You don’t need more willpower.
You need a different default.

If this ruffled your feathers a bit… good. Save it and come back to it 💾
