☀️ Sun’s Out This Bank Holiday Weekend!
We know it’s a bit of a surprise… sunshine on a bank holiday! 😄 But while you’re out enjoying it, don’t forget to protect yourself and your loved ones.
🧴 Remember: Slip, Slap, Slop, Slide, Seek
👕 Slip on a t-shirt
🧢 Slap on a wide-brimmed hat
🧴 Slop on sunscreen (SPF 30+ and reapply regularly)
🕶️ Slide on sunglasses
🌳 Seek shade, especially between 11am–3pm

💡 Even on cooler or breezy days, UV rays can still damage your skin. Taking a few simple precautions can help prevent sunburn and reduce your risk of skin cancer.
Enjoy the sunshine safely and make the most of the long weekend 🌼

🎗️ Breast Cancer Prevention Week – Small Changes, Big Impact
This year, Breast Cancer UK is shining a light on “EDCs: Hiding in Plain Sight” — the hidden chemicals in everyday products that may increase our risk of breast cancer.
From food packaging and cleaning products to cosmetics and cookware, these endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs) can build up in our bodies and affect our hormones — which may play a role in breast cancer risk.

💡 What can you do?
While we can’t remove every risk, small, informed changes can help:
✅ Check product labels where possible
✅ Reduce use of plastics, especially when heating food
✅ Choose fresh, unpackaged foods when you can
✅ Be mindful of the products you use on your skin
✅ Get to know what’s normal for your body and check regularly

🔎 Know your normal
Early detection still saves lives. Be aware of changes such as:

Lumps or swelling in the breast or underarm
Changes in size, shape, or skin
Ni**le discharge or changes
Persistent pain

If something doesn’t feel right, don’t delay – contact your GP.

💗 Prevention matters. Awareness matters. You matter.
By understanding risks — both visible and hidden — we can all take steps to protect our health and support a future with fewer breast cancer diagnoses.

Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals (EDCs) are hiding in thousands of everyday products. From your cookware and cleaning products to your cosmetics and clothing - this issue is personal.

The scale of our everyday exposure is exactly why we're campaigning for change. 📣💥

The good news? We don’t need to wait for a change in law to start protecting ourselves. Every small swap can make a real difference to your health - and we've made it as easy as possible to get started. 💪

Our FREE guide breaks it all down, including which chemicals to look out for, where they're hiding and how you can start reducing your exposure today. Download yours. ⬇️

🧠 Stroke Awareness Month – Time Matters
A stroke can happen to anyone, at any time. Knowing the signs and acting fast can save a life and reduce long-term impact.
👉 Remember FAST:
F – Face: Has their face dropped on one side?
A – Arms: Can they raise both arms and keep them there?
S – Sp*ech: Is their sp*ech slurred or difficult to understand?
T – Time: Call 999 immediately
⏱️ Time is critical. The quicker someone receives treatment, the better their chances of survival and recovery.

💙 The video we’re sharing shows something truly powerful — recovery after stroke. With the support of skilled health professionals like Occupational Therapists (OTs), people can rebuild independence, relearn skills, and return to the moments that matter most… like proposing to someone you love.
Stroke recovery is a journey. It takes determination, support, and a whole team of professionals working alongside patients every step of the way — helping turn small milestones into life-changing achievements.

✅ Know the signs
✅ Act FAST
✅ Call 999
You could save a life.

💙 ME Awareness Week 💙
This week we’re raising awareness of Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME), also known as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome—a complex and often misunderstood condition that can have a profound impact on people’s daily lives.
ME is more than just feeling tired. It can cause severe fatigue, pain, cognitive difficulties (“brain fog”), and symptoms that worsen after even small amounts of activity. For many, it can make everyday tasks extremely challenging.
During ME Awareness Week, we want to:
✨ Increase understanding and awareness
✨ Support those living with ME
✨ Recognise the impact on families and carers
✨ Encourage compassion, patience, and listening
If you or someone you know is affected by ME, please remember—you are not alone, and support is available 💙
Let’s continue to learn, listen, and stand together to raise awareness.
