Olive Oil & Microsuction – FAQ 👂
Why do I need to use olive oil before microsuction?
Olive oil helps soften earwax, making removal safer, gentler, and more comfortable.
How long should I use it for?
Usually 2 days before your appointment, unless advised otherwise.
How often should I apply it?
2–3 drops, at night time is normally enough.
Can I use any olive oil?
Medical-grade olive oil ear drops are best, but regular olive oil can help if needed.
What if my ears feel more blocked after using it?
This is common. The oil softens and expands the wax before removal.
Should I use cotton buds after applying oil?
No — cotton buds can push wax deeper into the ear canal.
