Glencorse Golf Club is located south of Edinburgh close to Penicuik
Don't be fooled by the 5217 yardage of the course the Glencorse Burn runs through 10 holes of the 18 holes, there also my be 8 par 3's on the course but only one of them is under 200 yards in fact the 237 yard par 3 5th hole must be one of the hardest par 3's in Scotland, many holes have stunning views of the Pentland Hills, & there's always a warm welcome from Cliffe Jones, the long-serving Glencorse professional.

Many famous golfers are associated with Glencorse including George Macgregor the former Walker Cup Captain and Bernard Gallagher the former Ryder Cup Captain who are both members.

A couple of shots of the 4th green at Lundin links golf course, with the silver burn passing in front.
I've had the pleasure of playing this course a few times in the past, it's a wonderful course to play true links in the lower half with a more parkland style on the upper half.

Well the golf course photography season is starting again & I have neglected posting here over the winter.
So I went on a reccie trip to the Fife coast to visit Leven links & Lundin links which I had played in the past but also popped into Lundin Ladies & Dumbarnie Golf Links for a look, & I have to say the your gentleman at Dumbarnie that I met in the course took the time to show me the clubhouse & a vantage point to look over the course was very helpful & hopefully I will be allowed to photograph the course at some point.
I also have to say Lundin ladies course looked in fantastic condition for the time of year so I hope to return soon & get a few shots of the course.

New pin position.
I had a visit to Royal Dornoch last week & spent a couple of days walking & photographing the course, I also spent some time on Tain & Brora golf courses, so I still have a lot of editing to do to get through them all.
The time spent on Royal Dornoch was early morning before the hordes of golfers ascended onto it's coveted fairways, this shot was taken as the grounds staff were cutting & setting up the course for the day, I rather like the story it tells & the sublime morning light shows off the at it's best.

I had the pleasure of playing here a few times a number of years ago & remembered it as a great course with superb hospitality, I also had the pleasure of chatting to a few of the greens staff who were only to happy to point out there personal favourite parts of the course that they take such pride in.
