Hello everybody,

I am moving on with my career and want to say thank you to everybody who has been a part of my business. I’ve had a great time working with you all and I’ve done my best to make sure your cases progress. It’s been a humbling experience to get the worst cases sorted one way or another. I was lucky enough to acces training from different countries as well as England that enabled me to help thousands of people. Thank you to all those who stuck by me when I went a bit weird too after coronavirus. It’s great meeting you all and it was humbling you all trusted me with your health for so long.

SCIATICA

That pain which runs down your leg and into your calf ending in agony around your ankle.

Recently I’ve seen two cases almost identical in their presentation of pain, but so different in etiology enough to escape detection without the proper testing.

I always give thorough interview and testing. Without testing properly the treatment is just a guess.

I am able to help both cases easily, the difference is if the case of sciatica is due to something hard contacting the root of the sciatic nerve ( one of five roots ) the bill end up seeing that patient more frequently so long as it is safe to do so and there is a general trend of improvement. Often these cases are resolvable but occasionally they need to be referred onwards.

As you can see in the video I’m working one specific spot and have determined this patient to be suffering phantom sciatic symptoms. There’s a brief explanation in the video and the muscle worked on is the piriformis. Responsible for 70% of the people who come to visit me.

Needless to say after feeling somewhat sore this guy has improved and left PAIN FREE.

Yes, you can try this with tennis balls and foam rollers and so on, but nothing beats having someone skilled to do this for you.

Getting you PAIN FREE is my goal. You don’t need to visit repeatedly getting only minor improvements, you need to see what real treatment and care is before you give in to pain and write it off as age…..

Hey everybody,

Here’s a snippet of some work to keep you on track for completing your New Year’s resolutions 😉

Before and after exercise
1. Hip mobility - 30 reps total
2. Stretch both sides 10 seconds before exercise and 45 seconds after exercise
3. Balance both sides 1 minute for your best effort, it’s ok to wobble off 👍🏻
Repeat 2/3 times through

Stretching and strengthening alone is not enough to keep you from injury. Personally I suffer with tightness around the inside of my thighs which creates torsion on my knees. Heightening my risk for ACL and meniscus injury. Tight adductors will lead to weaknesses in the ankles also, speaking from personal experience of playing football having sprained them both many, many times.

A little bit of the right stuff goes a long way. There’s much more to your movement than what you see here but adding this for a couple sets pre and post exercise will help. Try it and tell me wha you think 😊

Hey everybody!

So someone asked me what I do to recover. I told them and they did the ‘yeah right’ eye roll.

I’m training for a marathon right now. Getting in hours of cardio week to week. I am fortunate enough to know how to keep myself in working order. I don’t like stretching and doing boring prehab and rehab exercises. I definitely do not like dunking in an ice bath especially when my nervous system is fried from today’s workout and a very very busy week. I just simply wanted to eat biscuits on the sofa. But I won’t get to my Goal if I don’t.

Whether you are nailing a routine or just starting, you must work hard at working in ( opposite to working out ). I’m not saying do an ice bath and shout at the camera like me. I’m saying follow specialist advice.

Let me take the opportunity to tell you all I’m feeling amazing as I write this. I’m stretching my aching legs right now as I’m writing this.

A simple effective stretch to help relieve neck pain.

I’ve been extremely busy this month. The majority of issues I’ve encountered were people unable to pull out of a junction without either discomfort, pain or PAIN!

Some were disc issues others were joint related - similar to torticollis. Others were people smashing the gym and exercise for long periods ( me included 🏋️‍♂️)

Funnily enough the majority of these cases all had shoulder pain. Nasty!

This was a treatment which was a long time coming. The chap on the table competes in long distance challenges and pushes himself hard in endurance.

Keeping people on track who push themselves in principle is the same as somebody who lives a sedentary lifestyle; restore range of motion in joints. Stretch ‘tight’ muscles ( although I personally challenge the word tightness in MSK ), strengthening weaknesses. The principle is BALANCE.

Without a balanced system your body will recruit muscles from elsewhere to support our posture and produce our movement.

The end result of imbalance is PAIN. Inability to play with our kids, compete, take part in hobbies….pain CORRUPTS our lives.

I’ve seen so many times the relief In peoples eyes when they get off the table, which is nothing compared to the relief they feel when following up with a simple stretch and rehab routine.

Here’s a personal challenge for YOU

If you know your stretches then go through all of them on both sides and repeat 🔁 2/3 sets of them. Holding each for 30 seconds….if you don’t know your stretches then ask me and I will send some for you. Do that for a week and if you don’t feel better then comment below and tell me I’m full of 💩

Working on yourself is tough at times. We are about to head into a new year, lots of people take up exercise around this time of year. Many might never have ever been involved with any physical activity.

If you’re reading this and you have some questions about how to prepare yourself for jumping into an exercise regime then please know I’m here to help. You’re welcome to pick the phone up and fire away any questions you have.

The Right Angle is going into its 10th year here in Andover. I’ve treated tens-of-thousands of cases ranging all forms of difficulty and severity. I’ve ensured that I’ve learned new skills each year to keep up with research and new technique. This year I will be focusing on assisted stretching so treatments with me last you even longer.

I am excited to get people enter my clinic and leave feeling awesome. Unbelievably I had somebody visit recently who hadn’t needed to come in since his first appointment in 2020…..with the RIGHT stretches and exercises YOU CAN get great results after a GREAT treatment!
