A tan means that your skin contains increased melanin. Because laser energy is also attracted to pigment, treating freshly tanned skin may increase the risk of burns, blistering or changes in skin pigmentation.

For your safety, your appointment may need to be postponed until the tan has completely faded. Please always tell me about recent sun exposure, holidays, sunbeds or fake tan before your treatment.
