Hi everyone,

We wanted to share a gentle reminder in light of a recent issue we’ve been experiencing in the salon. To start, this message is not aimed at anyone individually — we simply want to shed light on something we’re really struggling with during the busiest time of the year.

Over the past week, we’ve had a noticeably higher number of no-shows. We completely understand that life gets in the way sometimes, but when an appointment is booked, it is your responsibility to remember it and attend. If you forget and do not show up, you will be asked to pay 100% of the appointment cost. This is because, at such short notice, we are unable to fill the slot and we lose out on our income as a result.

Please remember — this is our livelihood. We rely on these appointments to support our families, pay our bills, and yes… buy Christmas presents. This is not a new policy. Ingrid and Jayne have their cancellation policy displayed on posters around the salon, and Alisha’s Fresha system clearly outlines the same. Fresha also sends multiple reminders — on the day of booking, 24 hours before, and again 2 hours before — yet no-shows still happen.

We want to be clear: we do not charge 100% out of spite. We do it to protect ourselves and our income. Think of it this way — would you go to work and accept money being deducted from your paycheck for no reason?

Of course, if you are unwell or something serious arises that prevents you from attending, we absolutely understand and will always reschedule. However, appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice with no serious reason will incur a 50% fee, simply because there is only a small chance we can fill your slot in such a short time.

Again, this is not a new policy, and by booking with Ingrid, Jayne, or Alisha, you are agreeing to these terms. Anyone who repeatedly fails to follow these terms may not be able to book again, and future appointments may be cancelled.

1️⃣ Client came in with years of box dye and natural root regrowth
2️⃣ After 2 rounds of Colour Undo
3️⃣ After a 3rd round of colour remover (we spaced these out over separate appointments to keep the hair healthy!)
4️⃣ Final photo: Just one round of balayage later… and look at that glow-up! 😍

We took this process slow and steady for a reason — colour remover can leave the hair porous, which means applying bleach or dye too soon can lead to patchy or unpredictable results.

When you’re going from black to lighter tones, patience is everything — and that in-between warm stage? 100% worth it when the end result looks this good 🤩🙌🏽

We want to start by sincerely thanking all of you for your incredible support over nearly 20 years in business - your truly mean the world to us! As a small business, it’s always our goal to keep prices as affordable as possible, but with the ongoing rise in the cost of stock and living, we unfortunately find ourselves needing to make a small increase in our prices. New prices are applicable to all services as of the 10th of March 2025.

This decision wasn’t made lightly, and we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. We value each and every one of you, and we are committed to offering the best possible service at a fair price. We hope you understand, and we’re so grateful for your continued loyalty.
