MEET CHRISTINE — OWNER OF THE REPAIR ROOM
I’m Christine, the owner of The Repair Room, and I’ve been practicing sports therapy for 10 years.
My degree is in Strength & Conditioning (Hons), and over the 10-year period, I have self-funded my Sports Therapy qualifications, continually developing my knowledge alongside my practice.
Before becoming a Sports Therapist, I worked as a Personal Trainer and Sports coach. Working alongside Scottish Ice Hockey coaching s&c to the national junior development squads.
I also spent 9 years working with Holland & Barrett, becoming trained and qualified to advise in nutrition, sport, health and fitness supplementation.
Sport has always been a big part of my life. I’ve competed in strength sports and played hockey at club level, giving me first-hand experience of the physical demands that come with training and an active lifestyle.
WHY THE REPAIR ROOM?
I started The Repair Room because I felt there was a distinct lack of this type of therapy available in the Arbroath area.
As someone who regularly trains and competes, I’ve experienced my own share of aches, pains and niggles, so I understand how much the right treatment can help.
For me, the biggest motivation is simple — I like helping people. There’s something incredibly rewarding about helping someone who is in pain and seeing them leave feeling better.
I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Every client is different, so I focus on individualised treatment plans based on their needs, circumstances and goals.
I’m fairly down to earth, don’t take myself too seriously and have a good sense of humour — which I think can make a big difference when someone is nervous or in pain.
Last September I took The Repair Room full time &
I’m incredibly proud of what has been built so far, & with Callan & Charlotte now joining me, I’m excited about what the next chapter will bring.
Thank you to everyone who has supported The Repair Room so far.
Christine
