On 3rd July 2022 I am taking part in my toughest physical challenge to date when I seek to complete Ironman UK 2022. This will consist of a 2.4 mile lake swim, 112 mile cycle and finishing with a 26.2 marathon run.
I have again chosen to raise funds and awareness for three hugely important local charities, representing the three disciplines, and seek your help in doing so.
Held In Our Hearts are a local charity providing baby loss counselling and support to families. Formerly known as SANDS Lothians, they have 40 years’ experience of offering compassionate bereavement care in the community.
Neil's Hugs Foundation was founded by Donna Paterson-Harvie who lost her only son, Neil to su***de in September 2011. The aim of the charity is to help raise awareness of su***de in the local community and support families who have been affected by su***de.
River Kids Children's Charity is a West Lothian based children’s charity, founded in 2005, with the sole purpose of supporting disadvantged children, and their familes. River Kids believe that no child should go without. River Kids also runs the West Lothian Toy Appeal.
I have raised approximately £10,000 for charity these past 6 years and seek your help to hit my target this year.
I’m posting this as a first step in raising awareness and, although, it’s many weeks until the event, it would be great to get the fundraising underway.
I’ll post regularly and will continue to post updates regarding my training on my page Paul Brown Fundraising.
Please give what you can as your donation will make a huge difference to these wonderful charities.
