As we approach the Summer Solstice on Sunday 21 June, I wanted too take a moment to explore what it means and how we can celebrate it 🌞

The Summer Solstice, the longest day and shortest night of the year and has long held importance in Celtic tradition as a celebration of light, life, growth and connection to the natural world. Our ancestors lived much more closely with the rhythm of the seasons, observing the cycles of nature not just practically, but spiritually and emotionally too.

The Solstice was seen as a powerful turning point — a pause to celebrate abundance, warmth, energy and the fullness of life before the gradual return toward darker evenings later in the year.

In today’s world, it can be easy to lose touch with these natural rhythms. Yet there is still something deeply grounding about taking time to notice where we are in the year and what this season might be inviting us towards.

The Summer Solstice can be an opportunity to pause and ask ourselves:
☀️ What feels nourishing in my life right now?
🌿 Where do I feel most connected and alive?
🔥 What do I want to bring more light or energy to?
🌊 What do I need to let soften or settle?

Celebrating the Solstice doesn’t need to be elaborate. In many ways, the simplest rituals are often the most meaningful.

You might choose to:

• Watch the sunrise or sunset (sunrise is very early this time of year 4.51am in armagh! Sunset is 22.05pm)
• Spend quiet time in nature
• Walk barefoot on grass or sand
• Light a candle or small fire safely
• Journal or reflect on what this season means for you
• Share food with people you love
• Swim in the sea or spend time near water
• Practice meditation, breathwork, or mindful movement outdoors
• Simply slow down long enough to notice the light around you

However you choose to mark this season, I hope you can find a little space to pause, breathe, and honour where you are right now. 💛

Great day spent exhibiting at Galgorm Resort at Business in the Community Northern Ireland Healthy Working Lives Conference.

It was wonderful to chat with so many organisations that are passionate about their team’s wellbeing, hearing about their programmes, their successes and their challenges and to also to hear from the many speakers, from Mike Nesbitt Health Minister for NI to the very inspirational Dr Ranj Singh from the telly!

Thanks to everyone who stopped by to chat and thanks to Business in the Community Northern Ireland for organising such a wonderful event.

Today is Earth Day. 🌍

Sometimes we might need a wee nudge to remind us that the world is beautiful and that it supports us in every way imaginable. How about, today of all days, we slow down for a moment and appreciate this wonderful world we have. Maybe just step outside, take a deep breath, feel the ground beneath our feet and notice the light the sky, the breeze, the temperature, the sounds and the smells. Use our five senses to help us tap into our environment and explore it in a slower more meaningful way.

Mindfulness teaches us to slow down and pay attention to what's already here. And when we do that outdoors — even for just a few minutes — something quietly shifts, we might feel like expressing gratitude too!

So today, if you can, step outside.

No grand gestures needed. Just a moment of genuine appreciation for this place we all call home.

Happy Earth Day 🌿

I recently had the pleasure of spending an afternoon with one of the brilliant teams behind one of the world's largest video game publishers, Activision Blizzard in Dublin recently.

We explored something every individual and workplace needs right now: how to understand and manage stress, recognise our own personal triggers and responses, and build lasting resilience to handle the pressures of modern life.

The discussions were candid, insightful and genuinely powerful. When a team creates space to talk openly about their wellbeing, something shifts and I really felt that in the room.

Everyone left with a practical, fully loaded toolkit of strategies to support themselves — both in the moment and for the long term.
..and for once I was cool in my kids eyes working with some of the people behind blockbuster franchises like Call of Duty, World of Warcraft, Diablo, and Candy Crush💚.

If your team is navigating stress, burnout or simply wants to build a healthier, more resilient culture — I'd love to help, I offer:

✅ Stress Management & Resilience workshops

✅ Mindfulness & Meditation sessions

✅ Lunchtime & Away Day programmes

✅ Bespoke Workplace Wellbeing packages

Available online or in person across Ireland and the UK.

📩 Get in touch or visit my website (link in bio) to find out more about how I can support your team.
