Children and young people experience the world differently to adults

Their nervous systems are still developing, their emotions are big and their ability to make sense of it all is still growing

That's not a problem, it's just how brains work

But it means therapy needs to work that way too

We currently have availability for new clients aged 7 and above, offering therapeutic support tailored to each child's unique needs, strengths and stage of development

Eating “healthy” but still hungry all the time? 👀

Some foods that are marketed as healthy can actually leave you feeling hungry again really quickly, especially when they’re missing protein, fibre, or healthy fats.

A few common ones:
❌ Flavoured yogurts
❌ Granola bars
❌ Rice cakes on their own
❌ Fruit-only smoothies
❌ Low-fat cereals

Healthy eating isn’t about eating less, it’s about eating foods that keep your body fuelled, balanced & satisfied. 💚

Simple swaps like:
✨ Greek yogurt instead of sugary yogurt
✨ Adding protein to smoothies
✨ Pairing carbs with healthy fats
✨ Choosing fibre-rich breakfasts.

These can make a huge difference in your:
🌿 Energy
🌿 Cravings
🌿 Focus
🌿 Fullness.

But nutrition is never one-size-fits-all!✨

Your lifestyle, stress levels, sleep, activity, hormones, and medical history can all play a role in how your body responds to food and what support you may need.

As a qualified nutritionist and owner of Harmony Health, I can help point you in the right direction, whether that’s through advice in store or more personalised support during appointments. 🌿

Healthy eating should feel realistic, enjoyable & sustainable, not restrictive. 💚

May nutrition reset 🌿✨

Eat fresh, light, and in season. Think juicy berries, crisp greens, and simple balanced meals. Hydrate more, soak up that vitamin D, and support your body through the seasonal shift.

Small changes, big energy. 💚

Studying for exams? 📚🧠Build your meals to fuel focus, memory, and steady energy. Here’s a simple way to “plate up” for your brain:

🥗 1. Start with slow-release carbs (the base)
These keep your energy steady while you study: Wholegrain bread, oats, brown rice, pasta, potatoes.

🍗 2. Add protein (for concentration + staying full)
Helps with alertness and brain function: Eggs, chicken, fish, beans, lentils, tofu, yogurt.

🥑 3. Include healthy fats (brain support)
Great for memory and cognitive function: Avocado, nuts, seeds, olive oil, oily fish.

🥦 4. Load up on colour (vitamins + minerals)
Supports overall brain health: Spinach, broccoli, peppers, berries, bananas.

💧 5. Don’t forget hydration
Water = better focus. Keep a bottle nearby while revising.

⚡ Quick study meal ideas:
•Porridge + banana + peanut butter
•Eggs on wholegrain toast + spinach
•Chicken (or hummus) wrap + salad
•Rice + veg + beans or salmon
•Yogurt+ fruit + nuts.

🚫 Try to limit: Sugary snacks, energy drinks, and skipping meals as they lead to crashes and poor concentration.

🎯 Think of it like this: Carbs for energy, protein for focus, fats for brain power and veg for support = a smarter study session.

✨ Nutrition trends you’ll see everywhere right now!

It’s less about restriction and more about smart, sustainable habits. 👇

🥑 1. “Clean eating” (but smarter)
Think fewer ultra-processed foods and more whole, simple ingredients. People are checking labels and choosing foods closer to their natural state.

🌱 2. Fibre is having a MAJOR moment
It’s not just about protein anymore; fibre supports gut health, hormones & fullness. Aim for 25–30g daily from whole foods like veg, beans & grains.

💪 3. Protein is still trending… but balance matters
High-protein diets are everywhere, but let’s remember it’s about quality and balance, not an overload.

🦠 4. Gut health = the wellness obsession
Fermented foods, diverse plants, and fibre-rich meals are key for digestion, immunity & even mood.

⏰ 5. When you eat matters too
More people are focusing on timing, like eating more earlier in the day and prioritising fibre at breakfast for better energy and appetite control.

🥗 6. “Food as medicine” mindset
Nutrition is shifting toward long-term health, supporting brain, metabolism & immunity through everyday food choices.

🚫 7. Ultra-processed foods are under fire
There’s a big push to cut back, with growing links to chronic health issues and ageing. Whole foods are winning again.

💡 Big takeaway:
Forget extreme diets. 2026 is about real food, more fibre, balanced protein, and consistency over perfection.

I’m here to help you! Reach out for support. 🤓💛
