Its that time again!! Feedback Friday 💙🎉

This week we highlight another one of our venues, Chestfield Medical Centre, Reeves Way, Chestfield, Kent, CT5 3QU

Good accessibility, patient parking on site, located next to Whitstable Rugby Club just off the Thanet Way roundabout. Follow the sign turning left at the Rugby club, then follow the road around to main reception & car park. Bus routes 5, 914, 915, 916, & 917 stop at the bus stop at the top of Chestfield Road. Go left at the roundabout, turn left again to reach the Centre. Chestfield & Swalecliffe station brings you out onto the Thanet Way roundabout. Turn right, cross the road to reach the Centre.

Mental Health Awareness Week 2026! 🧠

Today marks the beginning of Mental Health Awareness Week, and this year's theme is Action. Taking action for your mental wellbeing matters - for yourself, for someone else, and for all of us.

Managing diabetes can affect how you feel day‑to‑day, and it’s okay to ask for support. Taking action might look like:
💙 Talking to someone you trust
💙 Taking a break when you need it
💙 Attending essential medical appointments
💙 Reaching out for help if things feel heavy

With over 70 organisations offering information, support, services and activities, it’s a great chance to discover what’s available to help people thrive later in life. Everyone is welcome—come along and get involved!

Today, we recognise VE Day and pause to remember the courage, sacrifice and resilience of those who served during the Second World War.

We also take this moment to recognise and support our patients and colleagues who have served, or continue to serve, in the armed forces and to thank them for their ongoing contribution and dedication.

Staff Volunteering day 🌱

Staff from KMDESP took part in a volunteering day at Webb’s Garden, supporting the Charity Health, Heart, Hope and Kent and Medway Mental Health NHS Trust. In the sunshine, our team helped with de‑weeding to support the sustainability of this important green space for staff and patients.

Thank you to everyone who supported our plant bingo, helping us raise £50 to provide essential items for patients when they need them most.

And a big thank you to our amazing Kent and Medway DESP admin team for your teamwork, positivity, and laughter throughout the day. 💚
