🌙✨ No one’s reality is the same. ✨🌙
We talk about “reality” like it’s one clear, solid thing but it’s not.
Reality isn’t just what’s happening around you.
It’s how your mind interprets it.
It’s shaped by what you’ve been through. How you have been brought up. What you’ve lost. What you fear. What you hope for. Your nervous system. Your past. Your scars.
We could be in the exact same room, hearing the same words.... but you might feel comforted and I might feel like the floor's been pulled out from under me.
Because reality isn’t one size fits all.
It’s personal.
It’s layered.
It’s messy.
And it’s deeply human.
And here’s something people don’t talk about enough.
Some folk have been brought up being told they’re always right.
That their feelings come first.
That their view is the “truth.”
So their reality?
It’s out of balance, tilted in their favour, and they don’t even realise it.
That’s why they get defensive when challenged.
Why they struggle to hear anyone else’s side.
They were never taught that other people’s truths matter too.
So…
We might go through the same thing, same day, same conversation, same storm, but come out the other side with completely different bruises.
Why?
Because we’re not starting from the same place.
Some people have lived through things they never speak of.
Others carry old wounds that haven’t quite healed, even if they smile and say they’re fine.
What feels small to you might be massive to someone else.
What you brush off might crack someone wide open.
So no, we don’t all react the same, because we’re not all living the same version of the world.
Your truth is yours.
But it’s not the only one.
So if you always think you’re right…
if you believe your way is the only way that makes sense,
you don’t need another argument.
You need a reality check.
Or better yet, an ego check.
Because let’s be real,
you don’t know what someone’s carrying.
You don’t know the weight behind their silence, or the sting behind their reaction.
Maybe that comment reminded them of something they’ve buried.
Maybe that tone hit a nerve you didn’t know existed.
Maybe they’re just surviving, best they can, in a world
that hasn’t been kind.
We’re not here to agree on everything.
We’re here to grow.
To learn.
To walk beside each other without needing to be right all the damn time.
So before you roll your eyes…
before you call someone dramatic, or cold, or too sensitive, or you want to push that you are right.... STOP....
take a breath.
And remember
You don’t see their world.
You only see your own.
✨ No one’s reality is the same
and that’s exactly why we need less judgement and more grace. ✨
