What a fantastic recent visit with Jacqui Jedrzejewski, Clinical Lead / Deputy Director for Digital Urgent & Emergency Care at NHS England, and the team!

We were really proud to showcase our service and hear such positive feedback about the clear enthusiasm, energy, and passion for patient care across the team. Our health advisors were also given a real spotlight moment and it was great to see them so warmly recognised.

It was a brilliant opportunity to demonstrate the reality of NHS 111 and integrated urgent care in action, and the dedication of everyone delivering it day in, day out.

We were also able to hear directly from operational and clinical colleagues about what works well and where further digital support or transformation could add value.

What an incredible month we've had celebrating 30 years of IC24!

Over the past few weeks, we've seen colleagues come together for events, win awards, dress up in their best 90s-inspired outfits, share their wellbeing activities, take part in cake and art competitions, welcome special guest visitors, take over executive meetings, and so much more. It's been a fantastic month of celebrating three decades of providing the very best care for our patients.

A huge thank you to all our colleagues and partners for making this such an inspiring and memorable celebration. We've loved sharing these special moments with you all.

While we're proud to reflect on the last 30 years, our work is never done. We're always looking for new ways to innovate, improve, and ensure our patients receive the right care, at the right time.

Here's to the next 30 years!

Our colleagues at Herstmonceux Integrative Health Centre recently came together for a special lunch to celebrate IC24’s 30th birthday.

Seeing these moments of team building, appreciation and recognition happening across the organisation has been wonderful to see — especially as we reflect on three decades of providing the best possible care for our patients and communities.

After lunch, the team took part in a thoughtful activity called Pass the Appreciation, where colleagues left anonymous notes for one another highlighting something they appreciated, had noticed, or felt inspired by. What a fantastic idea, and a lovely reminder of the positive impact we can have on each other every day.

Our CEO and Deputy CEO, alongside members of the IC24 team, had the pleasure of spending time with our fantastic friends at Victoria Nursing Group, sharing tea, cake, and great conversations with residents and staff.

We brought our 30th birthday celebrations with us and were so touched to be welcomed with an amazing birthday banner too!

Thank you to everyone at Victoria Nursing Group for such a warm welcome and for helping us celebrate this special milestone!

We were delighted to recently welcome members of NHS England and the ICB to Phoenix House in Basildon as part of the celebrations for IC24’s 30th birthday.

It was fantastic to see so many of our colleagues there to celebrate this important milestone together, while also reflecting on three decades of supporting patients and communities. The visit also provided a valuable opportunity to discuss how we can continue working together to strengthen urgent care services across the East of England.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and continues to support the vital work being delivered every day — and a special thank you for the thoughtful 30th birthday card!

In line with Global Accessibility Awareness Day, and after listening to feedback from our colleagues, we have decided to rename our Disability Confident Colleague Resource Group (CRG) to the Access-Ability CRG.

We feel this new name better reflects our commitment to inclusion, accessibility, and creating an environment where everyone feels valued, supported, and empowered.

We hope this change will help colleagues feel more confident bringing their whole selves to work and reinforce that we are here to support anyone with accessibility needs or workplace adjustments they may require.

As part of celebrating IC24’s 30th birthday, we’ve loved seeing colleagues take part in sharing their 30 minutes of wellbeing each day.

So many colleagues have got in touch to tell us what helps them unwind and look after their wellbeing — from bike rides 🚴, running 🏃, sewing 🧵, dancing 💃, netball 🏐, journalling 📖, afternoon tea ☕🍰 and yoga 🧘, to so many other brilliant activities.

It’s been amazing hearing everyone’s ideas and seeing the different ways our colleagues make time for themselves and feel their best.

Our recent Employee Network Day was all about connection, collaboration, and creating a better workplace together.

We kicked things off with a game of Jenga with a twist — our CEO and Deputy CEO led two teams and answered questions focused on Diversity & Inclusion. It was a brilliant way to start the day, bringing plenty of laughter to colleagues both in person and virtually.

Throughout the day, we heard inspiring talks on wellbeing and mental health, alongside engaging panel discussions that encouraged open conversations and shared learning.

A sweet addition to the day saw colleagues enjoying candy floss, popcorn, and ice cream while taking time to recharge together!

A huge thank you to everyone who took part and helped make the day such a success.

As part of Lady Colgrain’s visit to IC24, she joined Dr Mark Reynolds MBE to judge our special 30th birthday colleague art competition, celebrating the creativity and talent of colleagues from across the organisation.

We received a fantastic range of entries, including photography, paintings, sewing, drawings and etchings, with each submission showcasing the individuality, passion and creativity of our teams beyond their day to day roles.

We were honoured to welcome The Lady Colgrain, Lord Lieutenant of Kent, to IC24 as part of our 30th anniversary celebrations.

During her visit, Lady Colgrain officially unveiled a commemorative plaque celebrating 30 years of IC24 and our journey, joined by colleagues in person and others who attended virtually.

It was a proud moment to reflect on how far we’ve come and celebrate the people who continue to make IC24 what it is today.
