Why my teaching changes over time. And why we are allowed to evolve. And change our mind. And enjoy the learning and the perspectives. Or you become very stuck and very grumpy. Also, recovering from the plague so enjoy my manky voice.
Happy Weekend all. Xx

The one where Drew Hume came. And to top it off, so did Angelia Keogh.
Another year, another magical retreat at the wonderful Mill Retreat. Deep rest, deep feeling, belly laughs. The BEST food.
I'm not sure how we can top this one, other than do it all again next year. 😘
Thank you to everyone for making it so special. The love is bursting out of me.

Quick little dangle to remind you I go on retreat Thurs-sun. Classes run as normal until then and I've covered Thurs, Fri and Sunday. No online on these days. Cannot wait for France!

Sometimes, you learn things gently over long periods of time, and other times, things whack you in the face.
Things I've learned this weekend- I've spent a long time learning wonderful things about bodies, movement's and differences in people and their wonky bits and their bits that don't work. And we can make them better and help them and strengthen them, and I will forever LOVE doing this. And still maintain it's a brilliant way into the deeper stuff.
From these deep explorations into the body, some lessons around yoga have been learned (the whole 99%practice 1% theory business)
But the deeper stuff, dare I say the real yoga. Has been Chinese whispered, warped, regurgitated, re interpreted, and lost its real depth - it's real magic, hence why I came away from it for so long. And now I finally feel, when you get the right teacher, IT ALL MAKES SO MUCH SENSE. And you realise how very little you really know. And you have to sift through your own bu****it, patterns and the things you thought you knew. Humbling. Fascinating. Challenging.
Although you'll still never persuade me shoulderstand is a good thing.

21 yeas ago today, this tiny 4lb8oz baby arrived in the world. I'll always be sad I don't have photos of you at birth, but we didn't know if you'd make it. You pulled through, defied all odds and expectations, and have sung your way loudly through life since then.
Resilient, hilarious, talented, stubborn, whimsical, tenacious Mit. Your arrival built some family bridges and gave me the greatest gift of becoming your mother.
Your whole life, you've been exceptional, brave, beautiful, and witty.
In just the last 3 years, you've got 4 As at a level, a 1st in a degree (by winging it at the last minute as always!) and survived horrific surgery.
You've taught me more lessons than anyone else, given more joy, challenge, laughter, and you make me proud every day. It's impossible to me someone this spectacular is my daughter.
Happy 21st birthday, Mit. We love you. ###

The weather let you all off the hook last week, and we got to mostly lay down and experience some rather beautiful snorning.
We are back head first into this full moon, so let's see what that means for our practice this week!
(Pezza Menno's, I'm ready for you🤪)

Up at 4 am.
3.59 actually.
Ridiculous. But worth it.
Total sun worshipper, and clearly not for the tan.
Happy solstice vibes.
May your light shine on all those dark and s**t bits so you can know yourself better.

Wanted to document possibly one of the best birthdays to date. 43. Not a special number. And the first one without mum.
Highlights include getting some roller skates from Sam Stewart, I've not been since I was 7. Thanks for the lesson, Jodie!
Brilliant lunch with Steve Coles, best day out saunaing and cake by zoe. The birthday hamper of dreams (can't tag you all with your private accounts!) Brilliant class with the Wednesday crew, fresh home-made tea by Elise Everest.
Staying in a the most adorable cabin and having 16 hours off.
Having my brilliant babies make it super awesome, and the absolute best bit of all, finding out got a 1st for her degree.
I really think you should make a total utter outrageous fuss for all birthdays going forward because, what a privilege it is and what a joy to be alive.
