Shaking therapy incredibly powerful. Without talking or reliving the stress & trauma!

Open Day 5 Sept'26 (11am-5pm) 11am GROUP: TRE with Gemma Price. TRE = Trauma (or tension) Release Exercise is a series of innovative exercises, that works to activate our innate ability to shake or vibrate, a reflex which is common to all mammals. This tremor mechanism assists the body to release held patterns muscular tension, that have been stored in the body after stressful or traumatic events. This can change the messages sent to the brain from the body, helping to calm down the nervous system and encourage the body to return to a state of balance.
By connecting with your body’s innate tremoring mechanism you can unwind long-held tension patterns in the body. Gemma will gently lead you through the practice, that over time can improve stress resilience and bring your body back to balance.
Please wear comfortable trousers/shorts you can move in and bring a blanket/thin cushion/yoga mat.

Chikung or qigong is a moving meditation that integrates slow, deliberate movements with standing postures and breathing techniques to build strength and clear the mind. It uses low-impact exercises that help cultivate balance, alignment, and muscle control.
Benefits include reduced stress and increased relaxation. Energy healers (such Reiki Rahanni modalities) report an increase of energy sensations and strength.

Arty crafty therapy with panache 💐

TWO HOURS art session! 11am on 9th May Abstract Flower Vase Art workshop at our OPEN DAY – Issy invites you again to pick up your crayons, pencils, or anything that makes a mark. (Note we ran out of time last time hence increasing the time and cost) First part is to create the paper using a range of fun techniques and then we’ll start cutting and forming the vase, leaves and flowers out from those papers. You’re encouraged to tune into yourself and enjoy the expressive process of making marks to connect with your current self and return to the carefree creativity of youth. Leave your inhibitions behind and open your mind to make Art like no one’s watching. As we age, the freedom of creativity is often replaced by expectations. We are taught that art must follow rules, master techniques, and strive for perfection in order to be considered valuable. What was once playful and instinctive becomes overshadowed by theory, technique, and the pressure to create “serious” art.

This workshop gently shifts away from those ideas. I will guide you through a series of playful, intuitive drawing and painting exercises using abstract ink and paint techniques, leading towards the creation of a vibrant flower bouquet image. These exercises are designed to help you loosen up your creative practice and rediscover the simple joy of making art for art’s sake.

Come as you are - art supplies will be available, though you’re welcome to bring your favourite materials if you wish. You don’t need any prior art experience to take part - just a willingness to explore and create! Open minds, spontaneity and mess are encouraged! Book soon as spaces are limited! Fascinating talk by probably the foremost dream interpretation expert of psychiatrist Dr Bernard Kelly Patterson

Open day 9th May Ashtead Youth Centre! 3pm talk: Dream Interpretation (Dr Bernhard Kelly-Patterson: psychiatrist & dream interpreter)
Humankind has been living and working with dreams across the ages and across cultures. Even for part of the 20th century dream interpretation was integral to psychiatric practice. But what has happened since? Can we afford to ignore our dreams? Many people say that they don’t dream, and if they do, they don’t remember them. What can we do about this? Bernhard will discuss simple ways of improving one’s dream life. Although his approach is predominantly Jungian, he also draws on Jacques Lacan, but stresses that plain common sense goes a long way.

Bernhard is probably the foremost dream interpreter worldwide!
