I woke up with the doom cloud hanging over my head.

Third night in a row we’d been woken up at 4am by someone’s faulty alarm going off.

So yeah. I was pi**ed off.

But here’s what I’ve noticed.

When you’ve spent years carrying every bit of s**t that’s happened to you, one more thing can feel like the final straw.

It’s not just the alarm.

It’s the alarm, plus everything else you’ve been carrying.

The resentment.
The worry.
The fear.
The feeling that life is against you.

Everything gets piled on top of everything else.

But when you’ve dealt with your own s**t, something happens.

Life can still throw s**t at you.

You just don’t have a mountain of it already sitting there.

So this morning was s**t.

I was pi**ed off.

And then I got up, got ready and went for a walk.

Because you can have a bad morning without having a bad day. ✨

And that’s exhausting.

You’re watching their behaviour, reading into their silence, overthinking their words, chasing their approval and taking their rejection personally.

But the moment you take that power back, everything changes.

You stop asking, What does this say about me?
And start asking, What do I think about me?
That’s where self-worth starts.

Because you can’t control who chooses you, who understands you or what someone thinks of you.
But you can take responsibility for how you see yourself.
And when you do, you become comfortable in your own skin. ♥️

Your self-worth affects so much more than how you feel about yourself.

It affects the boundaries you set.
The way you speak to yourself.
What you tolerate.
Whether you make time for yourself.
And the patterns you keep repeating.

Resetting your self-worth isn’t about becoming someone else. It’s about changing the way you treat yourself and learning that you have choices.

You can say no.
You can take care of yourself without feeling guilty.
You can let go of things you’ve been carrying.
You can choose a different response.
You can break old patterns.

And the more you practise doing things differently, the more natural it becomes.

If you’re ready to change the way you see yourself and show up in your own life, my Self-Worth Reset could be a good place to start.

There was a time when I thought everyone was walking all over me.

But the truth was, I kept handing them the opportunity.

I’d say yes when I wanted to say no.
Then feel resentful.
Then blame them for asking.
Then feel guilty for being resentful.

And when I finally started saying no, it didn’t feel empowering.

It felt horrible.

Because I wasn’t actually setting boundaries yet.
I was reacting.

I was saying no because I was fed up, not because I’d stopped and asked myself what I actually wanted.

That was a big lightbulb moment for me.

Because setting a boundary isn’t just about finally saying no.

It’s about understanding why you keep saying yes.

Understanding why you overgive.

And learning that you’re allowed to pause before automatically agreeing to do everything for everyone.

Send this to someone who needs the lightbulb moment. 💡

I spent far too many years thinking loving someone meant putting them first.

Their feelings. Their needs. Their happiness.

And somewhere along the way, I stopped asking what I needed.

That’s the bit about self-worth nobody tells you.

You can love someone deeply and still have boundaries.
You can care about them and still say no.
You can put yourself back on your own list without loving them any less.
Because losing yourself isn’t love…

It’s just losing yourself.

Anyone who knows me will know I can’t bear social media trends. 😂

Am I guilty of chasing the algorithm?
100%.

Do I listen to the gurus who tell me to put videos of myself doing everyday s**t on my Reels because apparently that’s what gets followers?
Yep.

But do I ever do something just because it’s trending?

Nope.

And this whole “be yourself / love yourself / accept yourself” thing?

I’m all for the message.

I just don’t think the message should get lost because everyone’s jumping on the same trend.

It reminds me of the Ice Bucket Challenge.

It was originally about raising awareness and money for ALS, but how many people were just doing the challenge, posting it on social media and moving on without actually donating ?

And before anyone starts…

Yes, I know I sound like a right horrible bitch. 😂

It was fun. I loved watching them too.

But the point is… sometimes the message gets completely lost in the trend.

So maybe you don’t have to call everything kinda chic.

Maybe sometimes…

it’s just kinda s**t. 😂

Maybe the question isn’t why you’ve changed.
Maybe it’s why you decided that meant you were less worthy of love.
Your body will change.
You’ll get older.
You’ll make mistakes.
Life will happen.
None of that changes your worth.

Isn’t it time to stop making your worth something you have to maintain?

10/08/2026

Sometimes walking away isn’t about losing people.

It’s about realising how much of yourself you’ve been giving away just to keep everyone else happy.

When your self-worth starts to change, you stop needing everyone to approve of your choices, understand you or be happy with you.

And that can change your relationships.

Not because you suddenly stop caring.

Because you finally start caring about yourself too. ❤️

We often think we need to get better at saying no.

But that’s not where the problem starts.

If you’ve spent years believing that someone else’s no means rejection, you’ve done something wrong, or you’re not important, it makes sense that saying no feels uncomfortable.

This is what low self-worth does.

It changes the meaning you attach to everyday situations.

The good news is, that meaning isn’t fixed.

It was learnt.

And what we’ve learnt, we can unlearn.

This is one of the things we work on inside the Self-Worth Reset.

Not just changing your behaviour, but understanding where it came from in the first place.

Because when you understand your patterns, you stop blaming yourself for them.

And that’s when you can start choosing differently.
