Dear Valued clients,
It is with a heavy heart that I have decided to retire from the High Street after 32 years of trading in Axminster.
I am keen to spend more time with family, especially my grandchildren.
I have endeavoured to find someone to take Melanie Brown Hair and Beauty onward but sadly without success and so, unless somebody comes forward in the next two months, the salon will close its doors on Saturday 28th February 2026.
I want to take the time to pay tribute to my current lovely team and thank them for their valuable contribution to the salon.
In particular, Grace has been with me for 28 years. What amazing loyalty and always so totally professional. We have shared the journey together.
Also to all the staff I have employed in Axminster over the years, I thank you for being an important part of the business.
To the Styles family,I thank you for encouraging me to expand and to take on the historic and beautiful building we are lucky to have enjoyed.
To the many clients who have passed through the doors, some for each of the 32 years, thank you for your unwavering support, camaraderie and always choosing to return. We hope that we have always been approachable, professional and that you have left the salon feeling and looking good.
Should anyone in the community be interested in taking over the business in a lovely building with wonderful landlords I encourage you to contact Axminster Properties directly.
It just remains for me and all the team members to wish you a very Happy Christmas and prosperous New Year.
