𝚂𝚒𝚕𝚎𝚗𝚌𝚎 𝙲𝚊𝚗 𝙱𝚎 𝙷𝚊𝚛𝚍, 𝙲𝚊𝚗'𝚝 𝙸𝚝?🫶

There's something about a quiet moment that can make us feel like we need to fill it.

We feel the need to ask another question. Start another conversation. Find something to do. Anything to stop that silence from feeling quite so... silent.

But what if we didn't?

What if, just for a moment, we left the space exactly as it was?

No questions to answer. No conversation to keep going. No need to find the next thing to do.

Just a bit of quiet.

Maybe it gives us time to notice what's going on around us. Maybe there's space to think, process or work out what we need next.

Or maybe nothing needs to happen at all.

Perhaps silence isn't always a space that needs filling.

I wonder what happens when we just let it be there for a while. 💚

This makes us really happy and can only be a good thing! 🤩🐴

As more people discover the benefits of equine-assisted services, more providers are popping up too – which is brilliant! ❤️ But it also means it's becoming more important than ever to understand the different services on offer.

One thing we're seeing more often is people advertising Equine Therapy.

Equine Therapy should be delivered by a qualified therapist or counsellor who has undertaken recognised training in both their therapeutic profession ie Counselling or Psychotherapy and equine-assisted practice.

At Pathway Ponies, we don't advertise Equine Therapy because that's not what we offer. We provide Equine-Assisted Wellbeing, Equine-Assisted Learning, Equine Assisted Alternative Educational Provision and Horse Powered Reading, and I’m extremely proud to be fully trained, certified and experienced in those areas.

We always encourage anyone looking for an equine-assisted service to ask questions.

Don't be afraid to check a provider's qualifications, insurance, Local
Authority licensing, DBS, safeguarding training and experience. A genuine provider will always be happy to share their credentials.

For us, it's always been about doing things properly, keeping both people and ponies safe, and making sure every participant receives the best possible support.

We're really pleased to see conversations around raising standards in our industry, and we hope this helps people make informed choices when choosing an equine-assisted service. 💙

Have a read of the Horse & Hound article below – it's a really positive step forward for our industry.

‘Now is the time’: hopes new standards will benefit ‘unregulated’ equine therapy industry. Read more below

💚 I'm looking for some lovely new places for the ponies to visit... 🐴

Over the last few months I've been watching my little ponies do what they do best... helping people slow down, smile, chat, remember, laugh and simply enjoy being together.

I've seen friendships begin, conversations flow, confidence grow and people leave feeling calmer and a little lighter than when they arrived. I'd love to share that with even more people.

I'm looking for charities, care homes, dementia groups, hospices, carers groups and community organisations where we can create opportunities for peace, friendship, belonging and connection—one gentle pony visit at a time.

If someone popped into your mind while reading this, please tag them and help us connect.

Farrier Day at Pathway Ponies 🐴

Our learners had the opportunity to meet our farrier and discover the important role they play in keeping our ponies healthy, comfortable and able to do what they love.

They watched hoof care in action, asked thoughtful questions and learned why regular maintenance is essential—not just when something goes wrong, but as part of ongoing wellbeing.

After the workshop, we reflected together on the qualities needed to become a successful farrier.

This naturally led to a wider discussion about ourselves.

Just as ponies need regular hoof care to stay balanced and healthy, we all benefit from looking after ourselves before small challenges become bigger ones. Self-care isn't always something dramatic—it can be the everyday habits that help us stay strong, resilient and ready to keep learning and growing.

At Pathway Ponies, every practical experience becomes an opportunity to develop knowledge, confidence and life skills. We're proud of how our learners connected with the workshop with their own personal growth. 💚

Learning. Growing. Together.
