HAY FEVER & YOUR LYMPHATIC SYSTEM

If hay fever has you feeling puffy, congested and generally uncomfortable, you might be interested in the connection between your immune system and lymphatic system. 💜

When your body reacts to pollen, your immune system releases chemicals such as histamine. This can contribute to inflammation, congestion and swelling — especially around the face, eyes and sinuses.

Your lymphatic system plays an important role in fluid balance and immune function, helping your body move excess fluid and cellular waste.

Gentle lymphatic massage may help support normal lymphatic flow and can feel particularly soothing when you’re feeling congested or puffy.

A gentle facial lymphatic treatment can be a beautiful way to:
💜 Encourage relaxation
💜 Support normal fluid movement
💜 Reduce the feeling of facial puffiness
💜 Give your face and sinuses some much-needed TLC

Think of it as helping your body do what it already naturally does — while giving you some precious time to switch off.

If hay fever has you feeling like your face needs a little extra love this season, a gentle lymphatic facial could be just what you need. 💆‍♀️✨

💜 THE STAGES OF HEALING AFTER LIPOSUCTION 💜

Having liposuction is a journey — and healing doesn’t happen overnight.

It’s completely normal for your body to go through different stages as swelling settles, tissues heal and scar tissue remodels.

Days 1–7 | Early Response
Swelling, bruising and tenderness are common. Your body is beginning its repair process. Lymphatic massage reduce swelling

Weeks 1–3 | Active Healing
You may start to notice firmness, unevenness or changes in the tissues. This is often part of the healing process as the body continues to recover.

Weeks 3–8 | Remodelling
Swelling gradually settles and scar tissue continues to change. This is where appropriate scar-tissue work and lymphatic support can become an important part of your aftercare plan.

Months 2–6 | Softening
The tissues continue to soften and become more flexible, while your shape continues to refine.

6–12+ Months | Maintenance
Your results continue to settle and mature. Everyone heals differently, so patience is key. 🤍

Post-operative massage should always be tailored to where you are in your recovery and carried out with appropriate professional guidance. Your surgeon’s advice should always come first.

💜 Remember: swelling, firmness and changes in the tissues don’t necessarily mean something is wrong. Healing is a process.

If you’re planning surgery or are already recovering, I offer post-operative lymphatic drainage and gentle tissue/scar support to help you understand and support your body through each stage of recovery.

📩 Message me to arrange a post-op consultation and personalised treatment plan.

You will need 10 to 12 sessions 1 to 2 per week

Wondering why post-surgery lymphatic massage can be so important? 👇

After surgery, your body naturally goes into repair mode. Swelling and fluid build-up are common while your tissues heal.

lymphatic drainage may helps to:
• Support the movement of excess fluid and prevent fibrosis and scar tissue
• Reduce swelling and congestion
• Encourage healthy lymphatic circulation
• Support your body’s natural healing process
• Help you feel more comfortable as you recover

But remember — post-op lymphatic massage is not the same as a regular massage. Techniques need to be adapted to your procedure and stage of recovery.

Your recovery comes first ❤️
Always follow your surgeon’s advice and get appropriate medical clearance before treatment.

If you’re having surgery and want to know whether lymphatic drainage could be suitable for you, send me a message and we can chat about your recovery plan. 💜

My purpose and the work I do has always been about helping people feel better — and reminding them that they have the power to take ownership of their own wellbeing. ❤️

Early in my career, I made the decision to look at the body as a whole due to my own health journey and how I wanted to feel better , I felt lost in where I was supposed to be . I believe everything is connected — our mind, body and soul — and when we create space to pause, listen and reconnect with ourselves, beautiful changes can begin to happen.

That’s why we’ve created The Power of You.

A beautiful 6-week journey beginning this September, created for you if you’re feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, disconnected from yourself or simply struggling to find time for you.

Over six weeks, we’ll create space to pause, reflect, reconnect and explore what you truly need for this next chapter of your wellbeing.

Get in touch ❤️❤️❤️for more info on this amazing journey just for you ❤️❤️❤️

Sending love and healing

Jo ❤️
