Weds 27th August, FULL MOON WITH ECLIPSE

Right, let’s talk about tonight because the universe is not being subtle about this one.

The Sturgeon Moon goes full in Pisces tonight, and she’s dragging a lunar eclipse along with her. We’re talking 94% of the moon swallowed by Earth’s shadow. That’s not a full eclipse, but it’s close enough that the sky is basically saying “fine, I’ll do it myself.” Visible across the Americas, Europe and Africa, so most of you get a front row seat.

This is eclipse number six in the Virgo-Pisces saga we’ve been stuck in since September 2024. If you feel like you’ve been doing homework on yourself for two years, that’s because you have. Pisces full moons don’t do subtle feelings, they do the full soggy, everything-at-once, why-am-I-crying-at-an-advert kind of feelings. Add an eclipse and it’s not a wave, it’s the whole tide coming in.

Don’t fight it. Tonight is a release night, not a manifest night. Write down what you’re ready to let go of, actually be honest, not the polished Instagram version, and burn it or bin it. Have a proper cry if it wants to happen. Get in the bath. Let whatever’s been sat under the surface come up and leave.

Pop your crystals on the windowsill tonight while you’re at it. A full moon is basically a free spa day for your crystals, it clears and recharges them, and with an eclipse thrown in you’re getting a stronger reset than usual. Just don’t leave anything colour-sensitive like amethyst or rose quartz out too long in direct sun tomorrow morning, they can fade.

Let this one do its job. It’s not trying to be gentle.

Today’s New Moon lands in Leo, and it’s a total Solar Eclipse, aka the universe hitting save and restart on your life without asking permission.

Eclipses are the universe’s regular 6 monthly check in, making sure you’re aligned and haven’t wandered off on a little side quest. Destiny’s talking now, everything gets thrown up in the air, and anything not meant to be there is a goner. We get our s**z together, then repeat in 6 months if we go off piste again.
This is eclipse two of the Leo-Aquarius saga, working its magic over the next six months. Leo rules confidence, creativity, romance, hobbies, play and joy, so these are the areas getting a shake up.
If you’ve been playing small or putting your passion projects on the back burner, the universe is done waiting for “eventually.”
