📢 Residents are invited to attend the Box Hill Information Day on Friday 18 September, from 2pm to 5pm at Box Hill Village Hall.

The event offers an opportunity to meet local organisations and charities, discover available services, connect with the community, and enjoy free refreshments.

Visitors can drop in at any time during the afternoon.

🦉🦅 A Winged Visit This Week! 🦅🦉

We had a very special visit from some amazing birds of prey this week, and what a fantastic experience it was!

A huge thank you to Angela and her team for bringing these beautiful birds along and making the session so interesting and enjoyable. Our members loved getting up close, learning about the birds and hearing all about their different personalities.

Birds and dementia can be a wonderful combination connecting with animals can bring back memories, encourage conversation and create moments of calm, curiosity and joy. Sometimes it’s not about remembering the details, but simply enjoying the moment.

A few feathers, lots of smiles and some very happy faces! 🦉💚

💙 WE’RE BACK! OUR MEMORY SWIM CLUB RETURNS! 💙

We’re so excited to announce that our FREE Memory Swim Club is back from Monday 7th September! 🎉

The sessions are open to anyone with memory care needs and their carer! Giving you the chance to get active, have some fun and enjoy the water together in a friendly, supportive environment. 🥰

Yesterday learnt all about taking selfies!! proving it’s never too late to learn a new skill!

There were plenty of smiles, lots of laughter, and so much fun along the way. At Miriam Grace, every day is an opportunity to learn something new, build confidence, and make wonderful moments together.

Today some of our ladies celebrated the joy of friendship by getting creative and making a beautiful selection of handmade bracelets. Each one was unique, just like the friendships we see grow every day here at Miriam Grace Bagshot!

Last week, a few of our lovely ladies enjoyed making homemade fudge together. There was plenty of chatting, laughter, and teamwork along the way, finishing with a well-deserved taste of their delicious creation!

Activities like baking are a wonderful way to encourage conversation, creativity, and shared memories. 🥰
