I’ve just been at the Scottish Dermatological Society meeting, getting updates on both skin disease and skin health.

It was fascinating to hear what a big role inflammation has in skin ageing. Reducing that inflammation can really help with skin health… our Super Active Moisture Cream uses the special anti-inflammatory water from the Cairngorms to soothe the skin. Niacinamide is also anti-inflammatory, and together with heather and horsetail extract, helps to protect and soothe the skin, while giving it a lovely glow.

A reminder to wear sunscreen to protect your skin from those harmful UV rays. Fuarain Super Active Moisture Cream is the perfect base for applying your sunscreen. As a dermatologist, I believe sunscreen should be a separate step in your routine.

Does collagen supplementation improve skin health?

A recent review looked at over 100 clinical trials with interesting conclusions. Although skin hydration and elasticity was found to improve, there was no measurable effect on wrinkle depth.

I visited the beautiful Omorovicza Budapest Institute to learn more about their products and rituals. Like Fuarain, the brand is based on the mineral-rich healing waters of the area. In the case of Omorovicza, however, they use Hungary’s thermal waters which are rich in minerals.

I experienced a wonderful facial treatment, and my therapist Edina explained how each product worked, and the magical ingredients in each one.

The treatment also included the most amazing facial massage, which left my skin positively glowing. Thank you so much to Edina!
