We’re excited to share that we’ll soon be introducing a new way for patients to order their repeat prescriptions, making the process easier, more convenient and more accessible!
✅ No more waiting in busy phone queues just to order your repeat medication.
✅ No more restricted calling times – you won’t have to wait until our prescription line is open.
✅ Order outside practice opening hours – simply phone and leave your repeat prescription request on our dedicated voicemail service at a time that suits you!
💙 A little insight into what happens behind the scenes:
Our team processes hundreds of prescriptions every single day and what many patients may not realise is just how much work goes into this process.
Much of our current system is still paper-based. Every prescription request must be carefully processed, each prescription individually signed, and then sorted for collection by the relevant pharmacy. All of this must be accurately documented to ensure prescriptions are accounted for and to minimise the risk of errors, missing prescriptions or fraud.
It’s a huge administrative task for our hardworking team!
Working smarter, not just harder ⚙️
We’re continually reviewing our systems and processes behind the scenes, looking at ways to reduce unnecessary administration, improve efficiency and make things easier for both our patients and staff.
Our new repeat prescription voicemail service is just the beginning! We have lots of ideas and improvements we’re working on, and we’re looking forward to sharing more positive changes with you over the coming months.
